"5 weeks in Thailand in various islands and this was by far my favourite resort in terms of room comfort, beach and swimming, tons of beach chairs and a wonderful pool - we loved how close everything was at the resort to access. The onsite restaurant and coffee/dessert cafe was excellent with great choices. walking to the main road to access other restaurants took only about 5 minutes + a 7/11 was just up the main road as well. "When I take the night train to Trang I always stay at Thumrin because it is big enough to always have a room available for early check-in. Decor and furnishings a little long in the tooth but who cares at this price. Corner rooms have nice view but all the windows can challenge the air-con."

"Hotel public are and room was clean and nice. Air conditioner in one of the rooms we had was poor and noisy in the other it was ok. Biggest downside was the noice from the roads next to the hotel. Two main roads with lots of traffic all day and night. WiFi was bad but ok for reading news and email."
