"Hotel Southern Star is a wonderful place to stay while exploring the beautiful city of Mysore. The location is ideal — just a short ride away from all the main attractions, including Mysore Palace, the zoo, and the bustling Devaraja Market. Despite being close to everything, the hotel itself feels like a calm, green oasis in the middle of the city.
The amenities are excellent. There are three restaurants to choose from, each serving delicious food with plenty of variety — from local South Indian dishes to continental options. The swimming pool is well-maintained and perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing, and the lush garden adds a lovely touch of serenity to the property.
The staff deserve special mention — they are warm, courteous, and always ready to help with a smile. Whether it’s arranging transport, offering local recommendations, or simply making sure you’re comfortable, they go out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay.
All in all, Hotel Southern Star combines comfort, great service, and convenience in one of India’s most charming cities. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Mysore!"
"Booked this place and has been the best service within the location..staff very friendly and supportive. Food amazing simply superb. Hope they keep up the quality as ever. "
"Clean and cozy rooms with very responsive and respectful staff. The hotel is centrally located close to the railway station and most of Mysore's tourist points within 15-20 mins drive."
"There was leakage in Flush. We were allotted twin beds even after letting the person on front desk know that we are married couple. We had to ask for all the information on timing's of breakfast, wifi password, menu card for dinner to be ordered in our room. Reception completely ignored our request for Menu card, finally I had to go and talk to kitchen in charge to get the menu card. After room cleaning there were no towels in the room, I had to call and get it. Dental kit could have been provided at the price at which hotel Booking was done."
