"Cozy little cabin, not quite a mountain view but still a beautiful forest surrounding. Sun room was very relaxing during rainstorms. Super well stocked with common cooking utensils, ingredients, cleaning supplies, and general utility items. Some spiders hang out around the outside so if you have arachnophobia maybe don't go here. They were chill though."

"My wife and I spent 5 nights at this cabin from 6/27-7/2 of 2026. The first thing I will say about this cabin is the view is second to none. The only thing you see off the back deck is a stunning mountain range. We watched the moon rise over this range every single night and it was breathe taking. The cabin was very clean, the kitchen was more than adequately stocked with silverware, dishes and grilling supplies. We utilized the grill once which worked perfectly. The stove multiple times with no issue, and the hot tub/deck fireplace every night. This is a perfect location for a weekend(or longer) romantic escape. The AC split unit was plenty strong to cool the entire house as long as the doors were left open to the rooms and the Wifi was plenty sufficient to stream/search locations on your computer or smart phone. The owner is not joking about suggesting 4 wheel drive to get up the driveway. We had a mini van and successfully traversed the drive at least 10 times but it was not a super easy task. 4 wheel drive would be best. The only negative thing I have to say about this beautiful residence is the location. If you plan to spend time at the Shenandoah National Park it is over an hours drive. Luray is 45 minutes and most restaurants/tourist attractions are a minimum of 30 minutes away. If your goal is a romantic peaceful quiet getaway with a loved one there is not better location. If you're wanting to spend time in the park, it takes some planning."

"What a great place! Even nicer in person. The house was perfect. We had some rain so we missed enjoying the outside amenities, but what a view and even spent a morning with a deer family. Nature at its finest! The house itself was awesome. Had absolutely everything you needed. It was a bit of a tough ride to the cabin itself. Narrow road and a few bumps (maybe some extra rocks or smooth out the the bumps towards then end a bit) but all was good. We definitely enjoyed our quick visit for parent weekend at JMU. DEFINITELY WORTH THE VISIT! Thanks for hosting us. "
