"Anguilla is an island of beautiful beaches and people. You need a car to visit the beaches and great restaurants so James Place Apartments is a comfortable, quiet base from which to explore. Its spacious accommodations include a fully equipped kitchen so you don’t have to eat all your meals out. Everything is fresh and clean. The bed is comfortable and the bedroom has AC. We loved our stay!"

"The owner went above and beyond to ensure anything that we needed was supplied. Internet was a little slow but I felt that was typical of the area. I hope to go back and visit again in the future. Easy to get around from the property. Everything was great! I even saw the neighbours parrot on the roof one afternoon...how cool is that! I felt well looked after."

"Peaceful and quiet beach, does not get any better than this. Right on the beach next to the Straw Hat Restaurant so you get full food service from the free lounge chairs. "
"Our stay at this property exceeded expectations in all the right ways. The location is exceptional, offering direct access to a beautiful beach with soft sand, clear water, and assigned umbrellas and chairs that make settling in effortless. We especially appreciated the complimentary snorkels and fins, which made it easy to enjoy the water without needing to bring our own gear.
A few good restaurants are within walking distance, and while the area is quiet and relaxing, I’d still recommend renting a car to explore more of the island. The hotel staff made this incredibly simple—they arranged a rental at a reasonable rate, and the included parking was a great bonus.
The hotel itself has a lot to love. The pool is inviting, the grounds are peaceful, and we met several friendly guests who return year after year, which says a lot. Our room had everything we could possibly need, and small touches—like the foot‑rinsing stations outside the beach and right in front of the room—made it easy to keep things clean and comfortable.
The staff was consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay, adding to the overall experience. Between the unbeatable location, thoughtful amenities, and welcoming atmosphere, we would definitely stay here again."
"Communication with the staff was great, friendly, helpful. The property is on the smaller side, which I loved. When I was there, I think I only saw a total of 6 other guests. I had the pool to myself each night, which was truly lovely...but I am sure it is more crowded during other parts of the season. The room was clean and fresh, with AC that functioned marvelously. The studio I was in was on the third floor with a great balcony, high ceilings, lounge space, mini fridge/toaster/micro and coffee pot, etc. Bed and pillows were super comfy and clean, plenty of towels, too. Bonus was being able to do a load of laundry right outside my room door. Perhaps the best thing was walking past out the back gate to the path/trail that leads you to a gorgeous beach and access to the fancy resort next door. Fountain has no restaurant or food items for sale, so if you don't have a car bring some things with you (snacks, drinks). The place next door is pricey but has restaurants & a boutique. A couple minutes walk down the beach are few places to dine/drink and lounge. Improvements that would make a difference for guests: If the Fountain office sells just a few convenience items (chips, cookies, candy, pelligrino or sodas. One shelf with a couple baskets of these things). I didn't feel safe on the path after dark. The toaster and coffee maker are all on a tall shelf making it hard to use, having those on a lower shelf is needed. All in all, I will definitely come back."
