Super Friends Winter Getaway!

This property is a joy to stay at! It was our 5th annual return to Double Bore Ranch. A really beautiful spot in the woods! Wonderful property and house

Our family of 10 stayed here for a week. House was very clean. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. Beds are very comfortable. Even the decks were kept clean, and we enjoyed sitting out there and watching the deer come by. The trails on the property were well maintained and fun to explore. Would highly recommend this property.

I cannot say enough good things about this property. It is large (6 bedrooms; each with bathroom)...Kitchen is so well appointed (2 refrigerators + a bar refrig on lower level) makes meal prep a delight....the property has several hiking trails, one to an amazing beaver pond. We have been coming for years and think the property and the communication with host is TOP NOTCH!!

Place was amazing! We enjoyed the large open spaces, the kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could possibly need! Loved having 2 refrigerators! It was nice that each bedroom had a bathroom! The beaver dam on the property is a must see! Host Zirkia is very quick to respond! We will definitely be back!

Winter Weekend

We are a large group of friends who have been enjoying the Cook Forest region for more than 35 years of Winter Weekends. Double Bore is large enough to accomodate our group and is located on a beautiful, peaceful and private property. Management is friendly and so easy to work with and it's easy to access from various points (directions). There is plenty to do inside and out at Double Bore, from cooking, to cozy fires, to games and walks in the woods or visiting antique stores, a winery and a rustic brewery very nearby!

Here for an annual heavenly birthday celebration. Great accommodations, very well equipped kitchen and attention to detail around every corner. Celebrated Daddy’s Heaven Birthday

2025 was our second time staying at this BEAUTIFUL ranch celebrating my daddy’s heavenly birthday! So spacious and nicely equipped. The kitchen has TWO refrigerators/freezers which nicely accommodated the food for our large party along with all the kitchen necessities. The double back porch is so relaxing and the hiking trails are a MUST. If not, you can enjoy the provided DVD’s while shooting a game of pool. I will be scheduling again for next year! My family’s stay at Double Boar Ranch was absolutely wonderful! The house and property are spacious and beautiful! Our group of 16 was comfortable and had room to spread out. Everything that we could possibly need was on site. The kitchen was well appointed and fully stocked with anything one would need to cook for a large group of people. The property manager was very kind and accommodating. She went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was wonderful and memorable! We would definitely love to come back for another stay. I highly recommend Double Boar Ranch.

Women’s weekend

Our group of friends has been getting together for a fall weekend for 35 years. The property was beautiful and we enjoyed our time there. Many outdoor and indoor spaces to enjoy our time together. We like to cook and the kitchen is well stocked. Our only thought was the size of the kitchen- a little tight compared to the size of the house. Zirvika was very responsive and helpful to our questions.

Huge cabin, plenty of space for our family.

Very impressive property. I asked my grandson what his favorite thing about the cabin was, he said "my bathroom". Each bedroom has it's on bathroom. We walked all of the trails on the property, they could use a little maintenance, but nice of the owner to even have trails. We enjoyed the large wrap around multi-level deck and the fire pit area. Please think about adding a pinball machine to the game room. We will definately return next spring.

Incredible beyond belief!

We just cannot say enough about this amazing property, from the gorgeous and spacious home, to the peaceful and beautiful surrounding property. Everyone in our family, ages 6-88, said this was the perfect vacation. The host took so much time to pay attention to detail and it was greatly appreciated - from the stocked kitchen, to the huge dining tables inside and out, to providing firewood, to the well marked trails. We had such a relaxing week and fully enjoyed the outdoors, especially the back porch! It was a week of creating amazing memories. It is the most comfortable and roomy VRBO we have stayed in over the past 15 years, and something our family is looking forward to doing again!
