"First off, I am an American so I have that point of view. The hotel reminds me of old Hollywood. It is a classic with tons of history that is showing it's age. I liked it a lot, my wife not so much. It was clean and the staff was great. The bed was hard and we never did figure out the AC system. It is in the Muslim district which we hadn't anticipated, but was no problem and everyone treated great. It's noisy outside, but that is living in any city. These are difficult times in Israel...

For an early visit to the holy sites it is hard to beat - be back for the nice breakfast buffet. - However, the hotel shows its age. There is no elevator. It is pretty run down. Those who can cope with those conditions an unforgettable view of the old city awaits from the rooftop patio. "
