This house is amazing!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this property. There were plenty of beds for us to spread out and the deck and lake view was wonderful. We look forward to booking this property again next year for our Board's retreat and meeting.

What an awesome place for our family.

This was an ideal place for our family to be together. There was lots of spaces we could use to play games. Plenty of space we could find sanctuary to be alone when we needed to be. We would stay there again in a moment.

The house setup is great. We enjoyed sitting on the covered decks with a great view overlook the Waxahatchie. The flat top grill was a big hit. The house was well stocked and very comfortable. Great location .

We enjoyed our stay. House is a little aged but it being right on the lake was great. Driveway is a little steep but we had a four wheel drive truck. Wish you had a cleaning station for fish but all in all we had a great trip.

Family Christmas celebration

Very comfortable and welcoming home. We found everything we needed and more. It was a great location for family from Nashville, Chattanooga and Atlanta to join our part of the family that live in Calera AL which is only a half hour away. Love it and glad we choose this house!

Great escape

We enjoyed our stay so much. It was perfect for our group. The home is clean, roomy, cozy and well-appointed. The beds are all very comfortable. It's on a beautiful, quiet part of the lake with so many herons, eagles and osprey to watch. We spent much of our time on the back deck just looking out at the water. My children enjoyed swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding and they even caught a few fish. My only suggestion would be to put a "No Diving" sign down at the pier as it's much more shallow than it looks.

We had an absolutely AMAZING time!! House was perfect, location was perfect, swimming area was perfect. Plenty of space for everyone! Mr. Chip was just a call away when I did need to ask a question.. This is our 3rd year staying here and we cant wait to come back next year! We love the memories we make here with our babies. Oh yeah and the Kayaks are an absolute hit with the kids and adults! 10/10 recommend to anyone! The host and the house are the BEST!!!! Beautiful spot for a small wedding or gathering!

Chip’s place is a beautiful, peaceful lake front property with SO much space. We held rehearsal and a small wedding/reception here with about 50-60 people and the wedding party was able to stay here for the weekend (about 20 people) and it slept everyone comfortably! The kitchen is beautiful and huge and has everything you would need and there was a large, beautiful dining room table. It has several bathrooms and is equipped with a washer and dryer (and plenty of towels/wash rags/etc). The check in and checkout process was super simple. Chip was very responsive and overly accommodating and we could not have asked for a better host. The fire pit was a big hit on the chilly nights. The patio was everyone’s favorite place because of the beautiful views of the lake and the serene setting. The living room was very cozy and the guys enjoyed the setting to kick back and watch football. We will never forgot the memories made here, and I would highly recommend this gem to anyone!!
