There, dining options will be at your fingertips. Stock up with goodies and veggies at Bob's Shaver Lake Market or try one of the many local restaurants. One of California’s premier waterskiing and fishing lakes is less than four miles away. Yes, we're talking about Shaver Lake. It’s popular for water sports activities that include water skiing, jet skis, and windsurfing. Canoeing and kayaking are perfect activities thanks to the Shaver’s quiet coves. More adventurous people would totally visit the China Peak Mountain Resort, which is 22 miles north. This resort features seven chair lifts, two rope tows, and 1,679 feet of vertical skiing.
