Honestly, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The first night felt like a horror movie. The lights were constantly flickering, we kept hearing noises throughout the night, and we were initially placed in a room where the phone didn’t even work. We were eventually moved to another room with a working phone, but the problems continued and we were unable to sleep the entire night. And the lobby smelled awful like sewer so did the elevators. After everything that happened, we decided we did not feel comfortable staying another night and requested a refund so we could find somewhere else to stay. We booked through an online booking service, and the hotel told us that the booking company needed to contact them so management could approve the refund. However, trying to get this resolved was extremely frustrating because we kept being told that the manager was unavailable. On top of the room issues, one of the employees we dealt with was extremely rude and spoke to us in a very condescending way. Instead of making us feel heard or helping resolve the situation, the interaction made an already stressful experience even worse.unfortunately we had to sleep in our car for the following night. We understand that things can go wrong at a hotel, but the way our concerns were handled was extremely disappointing. We paid to have a comfortable and safe place to sleep and unfortunately did not receive that experience.

Wonderful staff, superior rooms and a perfect location in the city

Great downtown location. Very clean room. Everything worked - refrig, micro, air-con. Cherry Cafe next door had excellent pastries, coffee and friendly staff.

Beautiful architecture from 1910. Huge fireplace and marble stairway, a second room with very comfortable common space and fireplace. Free coffee in the morning and water purifiers and ice on odd numbered floors. Yards away from A.C.T. plays and plenty of restaurants and Union Square. Parking garage around the corner. Rooms are decent, but they could benefit with an upgrade. We'd stay there again.
