"A great location to explore the area, including walking distance to WoodHenge, a short drive to Stonehenge and an hour from Glastonbury.
Very quiet, peaceful and quaint. The perfect short break away."

"A cute property. A lot smaller than we imagined it would be but okay for two people for a couple of nights. A couple of things could’ve been improved - the freezer section in the fridge was completely iced up which made it tricky to put our frozen supplies in and the bottom tray on fridge door was missing so milk had to lay on top of food. The inside edges of the shower cubicle were a bit mucky! The back door was difficult to shut and the tv remote didn’t work. All minor inconveniences though...

"Superb hotel, lovely atmosphere, clean, tidy and welcoming. Staff very helpful and friendly. Ample parking, lovely village. Stayed for 4 nights whilst we attended British Superbikes at Thruxton, would definitely stay again. Lovely outdoor seating area with a local singer on one of the nights we stayed. Food was amazing, unfortunately on the 2nd day they had some refrigeration issues so they couldn't offer the whole menu, would have liked to have sampled more. Across the road was an award winning curry house, well wort a visit. We extended our stay for an extra night. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you to all the lovely staff that made our stay fantastic."
"Stayed the one night while at the Races and greeted well at reception, sorted the room earlier than agreed check in and all was spotless. Had breakfast and met with smiles and a cracking Buffet with eggs of your choice cooked fresh. Only niggle was arrived to find 8 spaces full in the car park, was notified prior to arrival but one way streets in Salisbury on race days are one to be avoided. Others are available but are a short walk. Nice Stay though !"
"Lovely hotel and very friendly staff. We arrived during another heatwave of 35 degrees, there was a little fan in the room which didn’t do much unfortunately! Could do with bigger fans (or air con) but not specifically the hotels fault due to unusual weather."
"Have stayed here a number of times now. Great location on the river. Being able to park so near the cathedral is a real bonus.
Staff always very helpful and friendly. We don't always eat at the hotel but when we have it's been good."
"We liked the terrace with its view over the duck pond.
We enjoyed the breakfast and also the evening meal was good and the service excellent.
The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom well planned out."
"Friendly staff, very comfy bed, great decor in keeping with it's image. Particularly likes the courtesy light in the bathroom to help find your way during night time visits!!"
"Easily accessible location with lots of parking. Hotel spacious and checking in was quick and easy. Rooms very comfortable with all the usual facilities.
Restaurant food was very good and plenty of selection for breakfast."
