"What a perfect wilderness getaway for my wife and I. The bed was super comfortable (we had bounced around the north for a week). Water pressure in the shower was excellent. They do offer white water rafting if your into it. It was cool and raining when we were there. The owner was super nice. "

"We went for our honeymoon and hope to be able to return next year for our anniversary. The wildlife being so close was amazing we saw plenty of deer, babies too! The quite was relaxing and the views were beautiful. The thought that the hosts put into the home was noticed. The kitchen was fully stocked; we had everything we needed. We enjoyed being able to prepare meals together on the grill or in the kitchen. The cleanliness of the home and surrounding property speaks to the amount of love and care that goes into the home. There was a little walk down to the river but it is not bad and you can see and hear the river from the cabin especially in the hot tub. The cabin has a very secluded feel but wasnt too far from a convenient store or to Wal-Mart in Blue Ridge. You don't really need a 4 wheel drive to get there although I see where it could come in handy. The driveway is pretty steep; after the first day we used the truck to drive to the easement and walked to the river from there. That was easier on my knees. The river access goes right into the river. I walked to the middle of the river and fished from there. That was an amazing experience for me. The dam releases are worth looking at if you do want to get into the river because the water gets very high and very fast. We absolutely loved our stay and have already decided to make it our little getaway place!"
