Wow. This place has to visited to believe. The views from the lodge are breathtaking, the beach is intimate, yet large and intricate enough for fantastic beachcombing. Sitting on the rocks we watched humpbacks, otters, and countless waterbirds living their lives. Pepper Creek cascades down the mountainside emptying into Resurrection Bay. Pepper Creek is your water source during your stay. The lodge is off-grid, but so dialed in you would not know it.
The patio in front of the lodge atop the cliff offers vistas that never tire. The light, the water, the wildlife, the energy from this perch is one of the most amazing places on the planet.
Jeff Erickson, the owner, is the real deal. The man has lived and lived large. He not only has true, Alaskan, adventure stories to share, but is a great listener as well.
Jeff is there for the visitor and will alleviate any anxiety or concerns. This place is remote, but at the same time, within an hour boat ride to the safe harbor of Seward.
This is in the Alaskan wilderness with all the comforts of home.
The best nights of sleep in my life rolling over with bird songs, lapping waves, the occasional lobtail, and quiet. If you are thinking about this lodge, stop thinking and do it.
