Detailed Description of The Black Wolf Lodge
When walking into The Black Wolf Lodge, you enter the great room with a wall of windows looking at the yard and open space below. The great room has seating to gather for a visit that vaults to an open air loft up the stairs. The great room is open that connects to the dining and kitchen area.
The dining area has a table that seats six. The large island in the kitchen has 3 additional stools for seating. The kitchen comes ready to use with a refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, dishwasher, Keurig, pots, pans, and dishes and flatware.
The master bedroom is also located on the first floor with it's on ensuite. The bedroom features a king bed, TV, and electric fireplace available for use year round. The bathroom has double sinks, shower, jetted tub, and a separate door for the toilet.
In the hall across the bedroom is a half power bath that also contains a full sized washer and dryer area.
Inside the entrance of the cabin are the stairs to the loft and 2 additional bedrooms. The loft is a game room that features a table top 2 player multicade arcade system , shuffleboard (with mini bowling), and a pool table. TV with recliners and extra seating makes it a great place to hang out to have some fun.
Each bedroom upstairs has a king sized bed and TV in each room. The bathroom between them has a tub / shower combo.
The back porch area of the cabin has a large hot tub and rocking chairs to sit and relax. A lower deck with seating and cornhole with the covered porch. Step down the stairs to the yard where a wood burning firepit is available, with a Traeger Pellet Grill and custom picnic table with plenty of seating!
The Black Wolf Lodge is a rare treat in the Smokies with a walk behind the cabin to a flat area with a yard that has a grill and picnic table for grilling, an outdoor swing, and a creek that flows with rain at the back of the property.
The Black Wolf Lodge is in a semi private setting. Other cabins are around, but the neighborhood offers plenty of space between each building that you feel like no one is around (especially in the summer when the trees are filled in).
For added security, The Black Wolf Lodge has security cameras positioned on the outside looking into the yard on all sides of the cabin, with an additional camera pointed at the driveway, to ensure the safety of guests and the property while vacant.

Beautiful cabin! Peaceful and quiet. It is in a great location, easy in and easy out. We had a great time playing games and watching movies together. Check-in and Check-out were a breeze.
We absolutely loved our stay at The Black Wolf Lodge. The place was spectacular and very conveniently located. We will definitely be staying here again soon!!
My family absolutely loved this cabin. The cabin is located in a serene area, and the neighbors are located far enough away to have plenty of privacy. We also loved the spacious and usable outdoor area around the cabin. We would definitely stay here again.
We have stayed at so many cabins through the years and never the same place twice until this cabin! This was our second time staying in this cabin and we absolutely love it. Easy access, very clean, such a beautiful place! Great communication with the booking manager was very helpful as well. Cannot say enough good things about the Black Wolf Lodge!
The Black Wolf Lodge was AMAZING!! It’s breathtaking from the minute you walk in and every detail has been thought of- we loved our week away here and would recommend to anyone! Family friendly- our 17 & 22 year old enjoyed the stay just as much! Thomas was informative from the moment we booked and throughout! If back in TN, this is where we will stay!!
We enjoyed our stay so much! The cabin was clean & well equipped. Our sons had the best time with the game room and cornhole. They have been talking about the cabin non stop since we left ... So glad we were able to reserve this property for a vacation that our kids will always remember!
We spend 10 days at Black Wolf and it was absolutely perfect. We are a family of 6 and there was more than enough room for everyone. Our kids loved the game room & the outdoor space. I loved how the owners had everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. It felt like home. Cozy, warm and the beds…. SO COMFY! I tried to find out the brand of sheets on the bed but couldn’t find any tags. They were so soft! We had a blast and loved the location. We plan to stay here again when we return to the area!
We came up for a quick visit, and the owners were so responsive and kind in answering all questions. And very flexible when we thought we were going to need to change our dates. Cabin was beautiful and kept the kids entertained the whole time.
Everything about this property was sensational. The communication with our host, both before and during our stay, was simply impeccable. The location, the amenities and the ambiance, were all second to none. We highly recommend this place AND this host to everyone. We WILL be back.
The property was very accurately described and well cared for. Tom (caretaker) kept in communication with us and was available when needed. The house is spacious, close to town while also in the mountains, and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful time. The place was so comfortable and had many things for us to do. Our entire family had a wonderful time at the cabin. We appreciate all your help with any questions we may have had. We rate your cabin and property a 10. Hopefully we will see y’all next year.
Thanks again
The cabin was just as gorgeous as the pictures. Location was close to town but felt fairly secluded even though there were other cabins in the neighborhood. Sitting around the fire pit at night was a great way to end a busy day for the whole family. The host was great and quickly responded to texts. There was a nice snack basket provided complete with everything needed to make s’mores. The beds were so comfortable my daughter wants to get one just like it for her house. Would definitely stay here next time we visit the area.
This cabin was gorgeous and very well maintained! There is plenty of space for the whole family and so many extra amenities like extra pots and pans, towels, and blankets that other places skimpt out on. We had a great time making smores by the campfire and playing games with the family. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. The hot tub was the perfect temperature for an evening soak. Master bathroom had a great jetted tub as well. We didn't see any bears but did see a lovely flock of wild turkeys.
Spacious, gorgeous cabin close to all the attractions
Beautiful high-end rustic furniture and art add to the idyllic mountain ambiance of this spacious, comfortable cabin. The owners' attention to detail was impressive. With a hot tub on the back porch, a pool table and other games upstairs, and a fire pit and grill downstairs, there were plenty of ways to relax and have fun. Thomas was super responsive, and self check-in was fast and easy. The basket of popcorn and makings for s'mores on the counter was a really nice welcome touch. We spent a week there driving to the Smoky Mountains, the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg attractions, and Knoxville and found it very conveniently located. Highly recommend.
We just got back from a week at Black Wolf Lodge, and honestly, we're already trying to figure out when we can go back. It's the perfect combo of feeling total privacy while being so close to all the shops and restaurants in Wears Valley and Pigeon Forge. We got the best of both worlds with peaceful mornings with a cup of coffee on the deck and easy trips during the day into town and the park. The owners truly know how to stock a kitchen. We've stayed in a lot of cabins, and this one was hands-down the best-equipped. It had literally everything we needed and then some. And the beds... oh my gosh, the beds. It was like sleeping on a cloud. I'm not exaggerating when I say we got some of the best sleep we've had in years. It was impossible not to feel completely relaxed and comfortable. The communication with the owner was fantastic, too. They were so friendly and helpful from the very beginning, and it just made the whole experience so smooth and stress-free. It's so nice when you can tell someone genuinely cares about you having a great time.If you're looking for a mountain getaway, you need to book this place. Trust me, you won't regret it.
This cabin was "as advertised". Beautiful, clean and comfortable. The only negative was that they didn't supply any bears. Our last cabin had a bear walk right up the driveway. Oh well, you can't have everything!
This cabin had everything you could want. And they did the little things that you typically don't see at most cabins. There was a Smores kit on the kitchen counter! And many other things you don't typically get from cabin rentals.
The decor in the cabin was also amazing. Carved art on the walls, beautiful taxidermy, WiFi and great TV service from Xfinity.
It was a pleasure to pretend this was our home for a week. We will return.
As we approached the property, we could see the deep lay of the land was beautiful, clean and manicured. The expressive carved door of bears ushered the anticipation of the big reveal. We entered an inviting and comfortable atmosphere with the temperature already set to our liking, the warm welcome of lights on in each room to behold its rustic beauty and to get acquainted with the layout. The blinds were opened to captivate the stunning view and remind us why we chose this particular place. There was a welcome basket of treats and s’mores for use with the newly-built beautifully landscaped fire pit. A thoughtful notebook of safety tips, cabin information and suggestions for places to experience was left for our review. We liked the convenience and distance to our destinations, and if staying in was the order of the day, there was plenty to do. Hot tub on the first deck, and a game/video room up in the loft with a pool table and other activities. And with our lingered stay, a washer and dryer for our convenience was a nice touch for the occasional load of laundry—that with these extras, staying longer in the mountains would be so easy! With such a beautiful cabin and amenities we did not feel like we were missing out by staying in. Communication with the manager was prompt, courteous, and professional, meeting our specific needs for our stay. We were very pleased and would consider renting from same management. The only thing better would be to experience a Tennessee X-mas
