It was cozy, kitchen had everything we needed. the only thing was it was a little extra dusty and there were cobwebs between the stair rails and it look like someone had been sweeping things under the rug. The only reason I say anything about the dust is because I just found out I any highly allergic to dust. Overall, it was a good stay
The cabin was beautiful and fit what we needed for our trip. The reason for the 4 star is because the cleaning crew missed some things but the managers communication about it was good. We would stay again!!
Everything as advertised. Easy access to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Check in and checkout super simple and host available for questions. Cabin is great for families!
Weve stayed in wears valley several times, but this cabin was our absolute favorite! Very roomy, The game room was perfect addition to keep my grand daughter occupied. It was very clean and cozy! Definitely will be booking here again
A nice quiet place to stay away from it all. The game room was fun and there were plenty of board/card games available. This is a nice place for a family to gather.
We enjoyed the comfort of the home and it location to hiking trails, the town and theme parks. Lots of great scenery and wildlife to take in. We all loved the game room and enjoyed sharpening our pool skills.
Cabin was very clean and welcoming, host was very communicative and friendly following the storms that rolled in, an internet outage was caused by the storms and a small leak in the children’s room that was hardly surprising considering the heavy downpour.
Overall would stay again
We had a wonderful stay! Would definitely consider booking again next time we are in this area, on the “peaceful side of the Smokies.” This cabin is listed as Sevierville, but it is much closer to Townsend. Unlike many properties in this area, this place is accessible with just a 2 wheel drive vehicle. At the first, we had issues with cleanliness, especially in the kitchen. However, the host was very communicative and made things right for us. The hot tub and game room were a plus for the kids, and the gas fireplace was nice for warming the living room. The kitchen has plenty of utensils for preparing up a homecooked meal. It was also great to be able to have a laundry room. Lots of games for “grownup” kids, and a kids’ room for small children. In a quiet and peaceful area, this neighborhood has quiet hours, but this was never an issue even outside of those hours. Beautiful fall foliage in late October-early November while we were here.
The cabin was great. Very clean. The kids loved the game room. Fire pit was setup well and location was in a quiet neighborhood. Felt very private compared to many other lodging options. I definitely recommend and would consider booking here again. Close enough to Townsend entrance to GSMNP and not too far away from PF/Gatlinburg.
Our family ( 2 adults/ 4 kids) thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was clean and comfy. The location was perfect. A quieter setting for us to use as base camp to spend our days exploring the National Park versus Gatlinburg, but still within a reasonable drive if you wanted to explore the entertainment options there. Our kids enjoyed the bunk beds and the game room downstairs and are already asking when we can go back.
We’ve stayed in this area several times over the past few years and it’s a quiet, clean neighborhood. This cabin was well equipped and fit our needs. Our kids enjoyed the air hockey table. We were welcomed with a stack of snacks, children’s book to read and a few toiletries that may have been forgotten. I fully recommend the Wears Valley food trucks park. The owner kept in contact via messages regularly. We’d stay here again!
It was good to once again be in the Smokies and Wears Valley; my wife is descended from James Wear, a brother of Samuel Wear. James at one time lived in the area before moving west to Missouri.
It was nice to have a place to have lunch with old friends who drove from Knoxville. They admired the cabin and plan to recommend it to their friends and family!
We had so much space in this cabin. My wife & I stayed with our 6 kids ages 5-12. The littlest ones loved the bunk beds & TV in the kids room. The older kids liked playing pool & air hockey in the game room. The huge porch was a nice place to drink our morning coffee getting ready for a day of fun nearby in Pigeon Forge & GSMNP. We were also only a mile from my parents, who live in Wears Valley, so that was a big plus. Would highly recommend & hope to stay there again in the future.
Kids had plenty of games to keep them busy and not get bored without going somewhere. we enjoyed our stay! the only thing was Master bed on left side next to bathroom has a hump in it so it wasn't comfortable but I made do everything else was great!
Overall, it is a comfortable cabin with an excellent location and easy access to everything. The internet signal is excellent. The area is very quiet with a nice view. We really liked the play area. However, the cabin needs a deep cleaning because there is a lot of dust and cobwebs. The kitchen area needs better organization and cleaning of cabinets and drawers. The mattress in the master bedroom is sagging. If these areas of opportunity are addressed, we would definitely consider staying here again in the future.
We had a great time relaxing and winding down in Joyce's cabin. It was in the perfect location. We were close enough to the parkway, 20-30 minutes depending on time of day and traffic. The cabin was the perfect size for our family of 5. The kids room is a converted walk in closet off the master bedroom on the main floor. This wasn't that clear in the description but nonetheless, it was nice having the kids close by. The game room and downstairs hangout was great for the kids. Access to the pool was a plus, we went everyday. I would definitely recommend Joyce's place, especially for smaller families with kids.
This house is great, very game focused. Peacefully remote but only a few minutes’ drive from stores. Owners were very responsive and accommodating.Upon arrival, everything was immaculate. Kitchen was fully stocked. Fireplace was perfect for winter. We used the hot tub, the fire pit and the games room.Only issue was we saw some webs and dust. Nowhere obvious but the house is ready for a deep clean.Although the listing is 100% accurate, the layout might not be obvious. The master is on the main level. It has an en-suite bathroom and a large kids room attached to it. Kids room is done really nicely with a play tent, games and books. Great if you have young children you want to keep close but not actually in your bedroom. The only entrance is from your room and there are no windows. No heat vent, so when the adjoining door was closed, it got really cold in there. If you’re staying in the winter, you’ll need to keep the adjoining door open, so the kids get the heat from the master bedroom.Downstairs doesn’t have a bathroom. It’s clear in the listing but we hadn’t thought it through. It meant that the boys had to either come into our master or go all the way upstairs and disturb the girls.Upstairs bedroom has an open front to the stairs but still felt private. En-suite bathroom has a properly closing door for full privacy. It’s all in the listing and you’re on vacation, so do you care? Just plan before you go. Everyone had a great time and we'll happily stay again.
