The cabin was really easy to get to, the emailed directions were really good but we passed it up at first thinking the sign on the driveway was a for sale sign. We had trouble with the wifi on arrival, which was a problem since both of the tvs in the cabin only worked on wifi - no cable available and I also did not have very good cell service with Verizon and could not look up directions to any attractions. I called the number provided in the email sent to me with instructions to call with any issues and left a voicemail since we arrived after office hours. My call was never returned. Luckily on night #2 I decided to try the password provided with different network names just in case. The wifi network name ended up being the one called “Green” which was really confusing since the wifi router was xfinity and the username on the paper attached to it said sugar shack. The bed was also terribly hard and uncomfortable, me and my partner did not get very much sleep. The bathroom had a slight sulfur smell (we assumed the cabin might run on well water?), which did not bother us but may bother some people. Everything else was fantastic, the location, the hot tub was ready on arrival, everything was clean, the pool table was super fun to have when we came back to relax at night, and we even saw some deer!
Overall, a very good experience and loved our stay. I would recommend this vacation home and would stay again. Its a beautiful place up the hill in the woods, but close to everything too! However, I note a few things to be aware of and some minor dings where rated 4 instead of 5 stars that could be improved:
- Deck gate was open when we arrived which had allowed the next door neighbors chickens to make an awful mess, feathers and excrement all over the place that I had to clean to enjoy the deck. I found that the deck gate clasp pops open if you don't shut it firmly, may be that the cleaning staff didn't ensure it was closed properly.
- The interior doesn't get as much natural light as I would have preferred. This is just the design of the cabin and the surrounding deck roofline and trees. There is plenty of interior lighting to help with the many windows, however, we still found we needed the interior lights on most of the day or things are a bit too dark.
- Minor annoyance, check-out instructions are outdated. They instruct to phone the property manager at checkout, and we struggled to get through to them on the phone. Once we finally got a human instead of answering machine later in the day, they informed a call wasn't actually needed. Update those instructions please!

The property was okay however the the water smelled horrible. We refrained from using the water because of the egg smell. And every time the toilet was flushed the doors had to be closed because it could stink up the entire house. We called multiple times about the issue and was told it was a well system so the water always smells like that. Was very unimpressed. We payed a lot of money to not even be able to shower because of the smell.
