Beautiful cabin, we love the game room. Had everything you need to cook inside or grill outside. Nature all around the property was amazing. Will definitely stay again or recommend to a family.
Me and my family stayed 5 days in this cabin. It was very clean and in a nice location. Was the best cabin that we have stayed in .. hope to go again next year..
Beautiful cabin!. Very clean in the best part was the location which was less than 10 minutes from Pigeon Forge. Easy access and check in was very smooth. Owners were very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!
We had a great time at the cabin. It was very spacious and clean. Our young adults really enjoyed the game room. It was well stocked with everything you need. I would recommend staying here. The cabin was far enough that it was peaceful but not too far from all the activities. Perfect location!
I booked this place for my buddy and his wedding party. We had a blast here. The description and pictures were perfect for our planning needs. Everything checked out. Very accommodating for our group. A lot of times you book an AirB&B or VRBO and the pictures look better than reality. Here, everything was well kept and very clean. Scott and Danielle were very responsive through the app if we needed anything. I would 100% stay here again!
We had a great time staying at this cabin. It was very spacious. There were 9 of us including my three children. The children loved having bunk beds and their own area downstairs. The kids also liked having a separate living room with a pool table, television, and arcade machine.
All rooms and bedrooms were very nice and clean. The fire pit and hot tub are nice additions.
The location was perfect and the host communicated with us thoroughly throughout. I would recommend this cabin to anyone!
We had a group of 9 — 5 adults, 1 teen, 2 kids, and a toddler. This cabin was perfect for us. It is clean, in a perfect location, and has great amenities. The owners reached out after the first day to make sure everything was okay which was nice. Everyone loved the arcade game (we might need one for home now!) and the pool table. The kids used the hot tub once (without heat since it was in the 90s all week) but it was clean and the jets worked and everything. A/C kept up with the heat just fine. My only recommendation to visitors would be to bring your own pillows if you have room, beds are comfortable but I was feeling like Goldilocks with the pillows—too flat or too hard :-) One other FYI, the bedrooms don’t have closets. One of them does but more for storage of household items, no hangers. Our king master had hooks on the back of the door so we could make it work with that. I forgot to pay attention to the other bedrooms. Overall we really enjoyed our time in Southern Comfort!
Perfect spot to explore the Smokies and Pigeon Forge
This cabin was a great spot for our multi generational family group to stay. The basement was perfect for the four kids with the kids room with queen size bunkbeds and rec room with the pool table, video game machine, and darts. There is another king size bedroom and bathroom with shower in the basement as well. The main floor had plenty of living space with a giant dining room table and well stocked kitchen. There were 2 spacious master suites on the main level also. The decks were great to sit and enjoy coffee and the quiet outdoors and there is a peaking view of the Smokies. Hot tub and grill worked great. Host was very responsive and a great communicator. We noticed some items that would make the stay a bit more comfortable and the host was quick to get them to us. Also quick to remediate an issue we experienced. The garage is on the main level and it is locked so just know you will have to take all luggage up stairs to get in on the main level. And then back down stairs for those staying in the basement. The location was great, 5 minutes from Pigeon Forge. Pay attention to the recommendation to go past the driveway and approach from the other direction as it is steep but very doable. Would definitely recommend as a great spot to stay while exploring the area!
The house itself has a good layout and beautiful wood throughout. The bonus room downstairs was used by my kids the entire trip. They enjoyed the pool table and arcade game. The cleaning crew is not good. There were several dishes that were put in the cabinets/drawers that still had food on them. The mirror and tv looked like it had been cleaned with a wet towel and you couldn't see your reflection in it. There were empty water bottles on the lawn, and beer cans in the fire pit. We had 10 people in our party and only given about 7 bath towels that looked like rags. The king bed downstairs had 2 pillows on it that were so flat, it was like you didn't have pillows. The extra pillows in the house didn't have pillow cases available, so we didn't want to use those due to cleanliness. The beds were not comfortable either. All of the adults either had back aches or neck aches after sleeping. The master bedroom on the main floor is the only one that had blackout curtains. All other windows had shear curtains. Some of those windows did have a beveling on them, but it did not keep the sun out. The bedroom with the 2 bunk beds, that could sleep 4 people, only had a small tower of drawers to stick clothes in. There was another cabinet to stick some things in, but not enough room to unpack 4 people. There is only 1 bedroom closet in the whole house. There is no where to hang up your clothes in the other rooms. We could also not locate an iron, if there was one available.
Had a great stay at Southern Comfort! Property exactly as described…excellent location…clean…host responded quickly to questions! Game room was awesome!
We enjoyed out stay at the cabin. It was perfect for our family getaway. Great for our teenagers, as there was a pool table and games. Sleeping accommodations were just right for us.
Beautiful views and wonderful place to stay for all ages. Hot tub was also great after a long day at Dollywood and very comfy beds. We enjoyed our visit and would consider this property again. Only recommendation would be access to extra trash bags, extra linens, towels and paper products for restrooms.
This cabin was perfect for our stay and accommodated our party the best way possible. The rooms were spacious with baths in the two main rooms up stairs. My wifecandci chose to stay in the basement with the theater, pool table, and bar area. There was also a room for kids (we didn't have any) that was for nice. The Kitchen was open and equipped with most of the utensils and cooking supplies we needed. We didn't use the hot tub nor the firepit out front but they both were tempting. The only drawbacks were the pillows on the beds were to soft so i recommend bringing your own if you prefer a more solid type of pillow. I can't say enough about our host Scott and Danielle. They stayed on point and communicated with use throughout our stay, not to interrupt our stay but was available to answer any questions or concerns we may have had. If you're looking for a great property to stay that will accommodate a family of 8 to 10 with kids, this property would truly be one at the top of your list to consider
We had a great time at southern comfort! The cabin had great spaces for our pre-teen and teen kiddos as well as for adults. The property is close to town so it’s easy to get to all the attractions but far enough out to forget the crowds. With a nice relaxing porch and the hot tub it’s perfect for relaxing after a day out exploring. It was the perfect place to say for our spring break.
The house was great! Very warm and inviting. The neighborhood was small with each cabin having a different look. Lots of trees and beautiful views. The location was great. Just a short drive to the heart of Pigeon Forge. We had a family of 9 stay and everyone had room to relax and lots of activities to enjoy. A nice large dining room table to seat everyone and wonderful for games! We had a great weekend and absolutely love the cabin!
The only things that need to be addressed is the mattresses that are bumpy and sags toward the center. The rails around the deck needs to be reworked. I found a couple of rails loose and wouldn't let the children play on the deck fearing they could fall through the railings.
We had a very relaxing trip at Southern Comfort. The house hosts were very efficient in providing all the information we needed to get into the house and get comfortable. They were responsive to questions and informative. The house was very conveniently located to groceries, Smokey mountain entrances, restaurants and Dollywood. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. We had two families of four staying and we appreciated the layout with two master beds on the main floor and two bedrooms downstairs. The mattresses were of varying firmness which was perfect for our families who had different needs. The bunk beds were larger than twins which was ideal for our teenagers. The hot tub was a necessity after a long day out for all of us. Our kids were able to bond and enjoyed the game area in the basement every night. Overall, we couldn’t have made a better decision on where to stay and we would highly recommend Southern Comfort for anyone’s TN vacation.
My Family and I really enjoyed our stay at Southern Comfort. We were visiting the area to explore the National Park and spent a couple days in Dollywood. We traveled with a party of 6 consisting of 4 adults and 2 children and really appreciated that we could spread out. The kids loved taking over the downstairs playing Pool and arcade games and having the freedom of watching what they wanted on their own big screen tv. The adults appreciated the 2 suites on the main floor with private baths and comfortable beds. We also enjoyed the private setting of the cabin in the mountains which was very peaceful. Although you were in the mountains you were still within a few miles of all pigeon forge has to offer. I see people mention the driveway being steep but it was not an issue at all as everything is on paved roads. It is easier to go past the driveway and come back which is no big deal and you will have no issues. Scott was a great host and was quick to respond to any questions we had, would definitely stay at this property again when back in the area.
This property was very big plenty of room for all four of us to have our own rooms. It felt out of the hustle and bustle of pigeon forge without being too far from restaurants and grocery store. We loved the large living room with tv and fireplace. Very cozy and comfy furniture. Kids loved the games and pool table downstairs. We all enjoyed the hot tub too.
