Great house but bad maintenance

We loved the Palace for the big space for our group but were disappointed with the management and service to the palace, we didn't receive additional sheets, towels, blankets, silverware, cups etc.. , for our group of 40 until 4 days into our stay and didn't get response to FIX wash machine, hot tub, theater room projector, garbage overflowing, sewer leaking outside smell to sit on porch, swimming pool was so cloudy couldn't see the bottom, air conditioning unit clogged up and many buckets collected Friday night of water in the kitchen and dining room, so we spent hour mopping up water with towels, so not sure we would stay again with you

Family Reunion

Very disappointed that the amenities that sold us on the property did not function and the promise of sending a repair person to fix never happened. Management was less than caring and never bothered to call and speak to me directly despite my request. The CS rep offered her services for " next time" to help find me a better property which spoke volumes to the cabin we were given was obvious a problem. It obviously was not rental worthy- cleanliness. Hot tub, theater room, grill and cooking pots and pans. Beautiful location - no views - no good clubs to play mini golf at the mini golf course... I did receive a 16% refund after much persistence with the caring CS rep and asked to get my complaints escalated and never received a call. Sad

Misleading: Do Not Stay Here!

Check in time was supposed to be at 4 pm and we weren’t able to check in until 6:10 pm. Two hours of wasting time was not a good start to our trip. Turned the heat up to 78 degrees, but it never could get over 53. We tried for hours and called multiple times to tell the guest services, but they would not send anyone out even though we had an infant and multiple children freezing. We all slept very uncomfortably cold. The next day we had to go out on Christmas Eve to find space heaters, but they were all sold out. We spent an extra $500 to ensure we weren’t not freezing again! After begging the guest services to send someone out to check, the service man found the problem and stated that we should get money back because he saw just how cold it was inside and said he should’ve been called on an emergency to come and fix the heating issue. Another issue was the theater room, it would not work. We even called guest services again with no help. Very disappointed we paid for the amenities and they did not work. Also the cleaning was subpar, the toilet were absolutely disgusting and they were cockroaches. The cockroaches were small which let us know this cabin is infested with them! There was also problems with the electricity shutting off as well as the water. Called guest services again to have it fixed and they never sent anyone out so we had to figure it out for ourselves again! Lastly there is a family of squirrels living in the house my uncle tried to catch them but couldn’t. This house needs to be fully updated before being rented by families, it’s disgusting. My family did leave a few items and still haven’t heard back if the cleaning lady was able to locate them. We are willing to pay for the return, but I’ll just have to assume it’s a lost at this point. We paid $10,000 to stay and it was not worth a cent. Very unfortunate because it was such a damper to our Christmas.

Beautiful home - poorly kept up

This home is absolutely beautiful and in a good location however, the amenities are not in working condition and this is one of the reasons I chose this cabin for our family. The entertainment room didn’t work at all. We tried for hours to get it to work for the grandkids to watch movies with no avail. The pool table top is so poorly kept, you can’t play a game of pool on that table. Check in time was supposed to be 4:00 but our cabin wasn’t ready until 5:30 or 6:00 pm. I don’t think the trash was on taken out in the bin outside one time. We had a group of 21 with a lot of trash each day. The cabin holds 40 something and the trash should be removed daily, in my opinion. With better upkeep of this property, it could be a wonderful place to stay.
