Just what we needed! Spacious and plenty of space for our family of 5. Close to the pool, not to far from necessities or fun! We met the owner who lives just up the way and it was very pleasant. We voiced any concerns to him verbally and via email and he was quick to respond. Ac was great since it was 90 to 100 most of our stay! A few things that need tending to just mostly wear and tear but i have faith the owners are all over it once they were made aware!

not very satisfied
I am not satisfied with that place because at the time we tried to use the sink in the main room all the water was leaking all over the floor, and we could not use that sink the entire time we were there, I felt very frustrated especially when you are with children.
Building material piled up beside the driveway good place for a copper Head , The water can not be drank even used bottled water to brush your teeth. one bed room did not have heat or air and it was 32 Degrees one of the nights we was there . The pots and pans are trash had to buy some to cook on . If you are over 5'9" you can not set on the toilet the way its in that room you can't hardly get you pants up and down in that room. I think this is a real code violation. The BIGGEST THING BESIDES THIS STUFF THERE IS A CAMERA IN THE DINNING ROOM I PUT A WALMART BAG OVER IT . The Owner lives two houses down I'm sure he can hear and see everything I DO NOT Recommend This place at all
we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The Cabin is easily accessed and provided some great accomodations. The only regret we have is we didn't have more time to enjoy the pool and fish in the lake. The owners were super and very helpful when we called with questions. When we plan our next get away, it will definitely include Bear Den.
My stay at this location was anything short of amazing! There were 2 couples in total which included myself and my fiancée So when we arrived at the location, we did not expect to not be in the same cabin but we actually liked and appreciated the fact that we would have our own space and still be right there together! You only had to walk out the back door and up the steps to the other part of the cabin. Which had its own bathroom, bedroom, kitchen area and deck. My sister even locked herself out of her cabin and the owner came and opened the door with no complaints AND IT WAS AFTER 12AM! Our stay was everything we thought it would be and more! I definitely recommend this rental if your looking to travel with another couple, still want your space but want to avoid a hotel stay. I will definitely be looking to stay here again the next time I visit!

If not for the lack of response ...
The cabin was beautifully decorated. The kitchen was fully stocked w/every type of pot, pan, utensil anyone would need. I learned all this AFTER the headache of getting in! Apparently, the locks on the front door were changed so the key in the lockbox would not open the front door (first attempt to contact property manager). We decided to go around back (to try to climb thru a window) and noticed there was a back door and fortunately the key worked on that door. Since we rented both the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms and was only provided the code to one lockbox, we attempted to use the key to open the upstairs bedroom but it didn't work. Since there was a separate lockbox, we the same code but that didn't work either and no other code was provided in the "instruction book" left in the main cabin (2nd attempt to contact the property manager). At this point, we are panicked because while the main cabin is a decent size, it would not comfortably accommodate all my guests. My husband decided to use his "paratrooper" skills and climbed up the side of the house to see if he could open the door to the balcony, and fortunately, that door was unlocked so we were able to unlock the upstairs bedroom. The problem however, was the key didn't work so anytime we left the premises, we had to leave the upstairs bedroom unlocked which was concerning because of our personal belongings in the room (3rd attempt to contact property owners). Our next issue was with the televisions, although there were cable boxes w/each television & remotes for Xfinity, none of the TV worked (4th attempt to contact the property owners).
Overall, the property was very nice but should be thoroughly cleaned before each guest. When we attempted to open up the sofa bed upstairs we found gummie bears in cushions, and there was an empty soda bottle under the bed downstairs. There was dirt on the floor in the game room which I could overlook but the fact that there were chalk cues, a ball from the pool table, the "M" from the sign, as well as a soda bottle all on the floor was a clear indication the room was not cleaned. My final night at the cabin I attempted again to contact the property owners. All in all, I would have rated my stay higher if the property owners returned any of my calls or emails DURING MY STAY. By the way, my stay was from 7/19/19 - 7/21/19 and guess what?! On 7/22/19 I received an email w/the code for the room upstairs! I just l had to laugh.

would not recommend this vacation property (won't let me change the I loved it to not really sooooo
The description of the property is misleading. My family and the group that was there before us and the ones that arrived while we were there were under the impression that the entire cabin was the one that we were staying in. Not so, the owner divided the cabin into two parts, the larger unit is on the bottom floor and there is a unit on the top floor, and a small unit behind the cabin. I was picturing something like a village setting with several small setting, they were too. There is no central heating or air, only an electric fireplace on one side and a small electric heater in the bedroom, and a fan in the dining room, perhaps a small air conditioner in the living room. (oh a gas fireplace but it cuts off after an hour) When we arrived it was terribly musty (because when no one is there the heat is turned off) and damp smelling. My daughter and I both got upper respiratory infections from just the four miserable nights we stayed. It's tiny, about the width of a trailer. The owners did decorated it cute, that's about the only good thing I can say about it. The bathroom is in the bedroom with the shower in full view and the bathroom part is in a little cubby hole where you can barely sit down and the tile is loose so the commode rocks upwards when you stand up! My husband was surprised that it wasn't pouring a leak (he's a pipefitter). If you are a large person, YOU WILL NOT FIT! Luckily no one in our family was too large. lol Taking a shower and brushing your teeth was no very comfortable since the water is Sulphur water and unless you like the smell of rotten eggs you are coughing your head off and stink for the rest of the day. So, needless to say we stayed out of the cabin since you couldn't relax there (and that's what this vacation was for). One more important thing. It's probably important for parents with small children. The walls are paper thin! We could hear everything that was going on above us, and I do mean everything! Even though they tried very hard to be quiet their intimate times were right on speaker for those of us downstairs! My daughter is 24 and she just giggled about it but ya know, vacations are for unwinding and enjoying yourself. I can't image doing anything I didn't want anyone else to hear there so...…. Overall, we were very uncomfortable and miserable. I really feel that the site needs to be updated and we need our money refunded. (It wasn't as clean as we like either.....cobwebs on the sink and dust and grime.

Beautiful and cozy
Absolutely loved the place. Got there 4 hours after check in and the owner waited for us to welcome us. He’s a really nice gentleman. The place is very spacious. And about 5-10 minutes away from Pigeon Force so is very convenient. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants to experience Tennessee for the first time. Close to nature. We would definitely be back again in the future.
