If we could rate a 3.5 that would be our true evaluation. The house was great, the rooms were spacious, there were plenty of kitchen gadgets/supplies, the majority of games pictured were present and working. The hot tub and sauna were great after we restarted the ht and googled sauna instructions. The price of the home is clearly based off the lake accessibility and that is where we were disappointed. The Reservoir had been drained significantly which altered the ability to access the lake, fish and greatly changed the view from a beautiful lake to mostly mud, rocks and some water that was visible toward the middle. We truthfully picked this cabin because we are a fishing family. I had reached out to the property manager and was told that the lake draining doesn’t begin until November, which in her defense is also what is listed on the lake site. We did justify the increase in price, compared to other local cabins, due to the lake access. Also, to sleep as many as it advertised that does mean 2 people/bed in each of the full size bunk beds, which are not comfortable. We are fortunate to have quite a few other rentals to compare this to with price and amenities and feel that the price does not match the value.
The property manager is very nice and accessible for the little things we contacted her about during our stay. Due to our busy personal/work lives we enjoy solitude during our trips and would prefer to not have to communicate wants/needs while on vacay.
