Mountain Jewel is a cozy upper-level studio retreat designed for couples and small families seeking a peaceful Smoky Mountain getaway near Douglas Lake. The studio features an open-concept layout with warm wood interiors, large windows, and beautiful mountain and seasonal lake views that create a bright and relaxing atmosphere.
Sleeping Area The main studio space includes a comfortable king bed with a memory foam mattress, bedside lighting, and a Smart TV. The open layout creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere for relaxing after a day of exploring the Smokies. A twin-size futon/sofa bed is also available for an additional guest.
Hidden Kids’ Nook One of Mountain Jewel’s most unique features is the hidden space-themed nook tucked inside the studio. Decorated with a fun solar system theme, this cozy area includes a cute teepee, soft lighting, bean bag chairs, and a relaxing hideaway space children especially enjoy.
Kitchenette & Dining The studio includes a thoughtfully stocked kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, air fryer/oven combo, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, cookware, and a 2-burner stovetop for simple meal preparation. Guests especially enjoy cooking or sharing meals at the dining table beside the large picture window overlooking the mountains and seasonal lake views.
Bathroom The private bathroom includes a shower, fresh towels, complimentary toiletries, and essentials for a comfortable stay. Please note that the bathroom and shower area are cozy and compact, which is common in charming mountain cabin-style studios. Taller or larger guests may find the shower space more limited than in a standard hotel bathroom
Outdoor Space Step outside onto the private balcony to enjoy peaceful mountain air, seasonal lake views, morning coffee, or evening sunsets. The quiet setting beside Douglas Lake offers a relaxing escape while still being conveniently close to Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Dollywood, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Access & Parking Mountain Jewel is a single-story studio located on the second floor above the garage and is accessed via an exterior staircase. Guests have private keyless entry and dedicated parking nearby. • 2 vehicles can be parked behind by the stairs to the studio • 1 vehicle can be parked in front of the white garage door (shared parking; first-come, first-served) • RV/trailer parking allowed on-site
Private Well Water System The property is served by a private well water system with professionally maintained filtration equipment. Please notify us immediately if you notice any leaking faucets, running toilets, or unusual water issues, as even small leaks may cause major problems.
Septic System The home operates on a septic system. To help protect the system, please flush toilet paper only and avoid flushing wipes, feminine products, paper towels, or food items.
Hot Water Capacity Due to space limitations, the water heater has a moderate capacity. We recommend shorter showers, especially for larger groups. If hot water runs low, it typically reheats fairly quickly.
Outdoor Furniture & Cushions The patio chair is exposed to the weather and can get wet or dirty easily, so we store the clean cushions and pillows in the storage container inside the unit, located next to the entrance door for guest to use.
Wildlife Awareness Wildlife, including bears and raccoons, may occasionally be seen in the area. Please do not leave food or trash outside and always secure garbage in the bear-proof trash bins.

We had a great stay, and Carrie made it all the better. She was very quick with replies and checking in on us, ensuring we had no issues. I loved the view we got; it made the trip all the better!
We had a great stay at Mountain Jewel and would absolutely stay again. Due to a delayed flight, we got in during the wee hours of the morning and had some trouble finding the building without light - but we finally made it - and it was cozy and just what we needed. Carrie even stayed up late to check on us. While our trip was geared towards family it was a great location near fun happenings for us to do and a scenic drive back and forth family functions.
My husband and I were in town for a long weekend, and just needed a place that we could enjoy the quiet, but still be close enough to town to be able to run in when needed and also explore the more touristy spots. The Douglas Lake area was a welcome reprieve after busy days.
Our stay here was beyond perfect. It was peaceful, serene… the view was absolutely stunning. Our host was kind and helpful, and having a nice place to come back to after a busy day just made the trip incredible.
Sweet and quaint little rental. Very budget friendly. The property owner was amazing. So kind and informative on everything as well as available to take all texts at any time of day.
This little place was perfect for my little family, it was about 20 minutes from Pigeon Forge and 45 from Gatlinburg, not too bad of a drive and a nice one too so it made up for the little added time. Super clean and easy to access. We definitely would stay here again if we ever come back to visit Sevierville!
The stays was perfect with the exception that there was no shared drive. The neighbors next door took all of the shared parking. We were barely able to park in the small gravel drive.

Wonderful vacation
Our stay was wonderful, the only negative thing I needed to mention is the housekeeping staff, we left the studio cleaner then when we got there. Floors were filthy. We went and bought some cleaning supplies because our socks were very dirty on the day after we got there. But besides that we really enjoyed the stay and we plan on renting from you again.
The property was very quiet and peaceful. The only issues we noticed were that the coffee pot was FILTHY. We had to run 4 pots of water to get it clean of the grime and when we wiped it down it was awful. The hot water for the shower was GONE WITHIN 10 minutes. Other than those things, we thoroughly enjoyed the property and the owners were very nice as well.
