Me, my boyfriend, and brother decided to take an impromptu weekend trip to Tennessee and stumbled upon this cabin. Great cabin, we loved the game room and utilized the pool table the whole weekend. Not far from all the hustle and bustle but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. A couple minor issues with some of the housekeeping but the host addressed it very quickly. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a weekend of memories. :)
My family and I had a wonderful time. The cabin was perfectly located close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but tucked away so you can enjoy some peace and quiet. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the game room. A big thanks to the hosts for making this such an enjoyable experience.
Great cozy lodge for a weekend family trip to the Smokies! One of the cleanest properties we have ever stayed in! Kids enjoyed the game room although you do have to go outside on the deck to access it. Property location is close enough to attractions, but tucked away in the trees. Had the joy of seeing a bear eating off the neighbor’s grill! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to all.
We enjoyed our stay at Rosy Bear! The accommodations were adequate for the seven of us, and close to our destination of Pigeon Forge/Dollywood. We had trouble with the access code a couple of times, but it was remedied. The visiting bears were a delight to watch. This property is highly recommended.
This was a beautiful little cabin and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. We came up for rod run and the location of the cabin was close enough for quick travel into Pigeon Forge but just enough out of the way to stay out of the hustle and bustle of all the people and traffic. The hosts were great and quick to respond when we had difficulty with the lock upon arrival. Our 3 children enjoyed the game room downstairs and the various activities available. We will definitely be back for another visit soon.
We had a great time, it was just hard to sleep in the fold outs. The mattresses seemed to be work out. The beds slept very good there were no complaints. We did get to experience a bear getting into one of the cooler. That was pretty exciting!
The cabin was spacious. There was plenty of room for our group. It was nicely decorated. The game room was a nice addition. Just didn't like that we had to go outside to access it. We enjoyed staying at the cabin.
Our biggest issue was not always being able to get a connection for our phones.
Amazing cabin! Clean, comfortable, everything you need right down to toilet paper and garbage bags and a coffee pot and a Keurig. Highly recommend this cabin to anyone that wants to be away from town on the mountain in the woods but still close to pigeon forge and also Gatlinburg, it's really the perfect location. We were lucky enough to see a black bear down the road from us, we had a great time and the hosts were awesome, they were responsive when we needed them to be, never got to meet them but maybe next time! Thanks again for allowing us to stay there we loved it!

This cabin had everything that we needed for our four night stay in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. About 15 minutes from both. Check in was a breeze, and there were plenty of towels, toilet paper, etc. The hot tub on the back deck was a nice touch.
I gave four stars on the location just because it’s quite a trek I’ve been to the mountains to get to the cabin. However, if you want to stay in the cabin, as opposed to a hotel or condo, that’s typically what you’re going to get in this area. All in all, I would highly recommend this spot for a family of 5 to 6.
We stayed at the cabin over Easter weekend and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed our morning and afternoon coffee on the front and back porches looking for bears. We had an Easter egg hunt on Easter morning and the family of four bears tried to join in! There was also adequate sleeping arrangements for our family of five and one set of grandparents. The cabin had everything we could need for our stay. We felt like we could just get away from the hustle and bustle of life for a few days, while still being close to town for the kids to do fun touristy things, like the mountain coasters! Also, the owners were very responsive and timely with reply’s.
We met our son and his family at Rosy Bear Cabin and loved; the location, sleeping areas, playroom, kitchen area was stock, and items identified. It was very clean. Check in and out was a breeze.
Nature was at its finest as we seen bears and even had one in the front yard. The surrounding areas had many different stores, shops to visit. We eat at the Howard's restaurant which had many excellent choices of food, service and atmosphere.
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park was beautiful park with many different waterfalls, lush forests, sights and sounds and wildlife.
This is a great place to bring your family.

The cabin was lovely. It was nice and clean. A good location, not too far from the strip where all the food and shopping is at. Our main problem was the check in process. We was given a code days before we arrived. We didn’t get there till after 4am. I tried calling the property owner and no response. I even sent a text. We had to go through customer service in order to get the actual code for the door. It was resolved quickly tho. The game room was nice just have to fix the pool table. Overall experience was great. We will be back.
Overall this property has it all; great location, great communication from the host, and things to do at the cabin. There are definitely bears in the area, we didn’t get to see them but one left a nice big poo right in front of the porch early in the morning. We also saw a couple raccoons. When we arrived we did notice it looked like someone hadn’t been there in a while as leaves covered the porch, I used the broom and shovel outside to clear it off.Positives: great views, perfect spot in the mountain for first timers, about halfway up the mountain. Plenty of space for a decent size family. Fantastic host! Responds very quickly to messages as well as gives you a little itinerary with all the local things to do or places to eat. Negatives: while there is a game room the equipment could use some updating. The pool table while functionable is very warped and the foosball table is in the same shape. The beds are not very comfortable, but I’m not a fan of firm mattresses so that could be a personal thing.
We stayed at this cabin during fall break 2023. We found the cabin to be satisfactory and had a lovely stay.
Some info to help other guests:
Location, this cabin is nestled between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg with easy access to both. The road to the cabin is about 6 miles off 321 and through the mountains as most in the area are, so if you aren't used to/comfortable driving mountain roads, def plan to get there before dawn.
The cabin itself is lovely with a small living room and nice sized kitchen and dining table. We found everything we needed in the kitchen, including a coffee pot and keurig with a sample supply of Keurig cups and ground coffee and creamer (but bring your own sugar!). The soaps and shampoos left in the bathroom were a nice touch as well. There were 6 of us, 3 adults (mom and dad in one bedroom and gma in the other), 2 teenagers who divided their time between the basement and the loft, and an 8 yr old. Both couches in the living room have pullout as does the couch in the basement and the twin bed upstairs has a trundle bed (though my son told me it needs a good cleaning and he didn't end up sleeping on it). There were extra blankets, but they are thin, so you might want to bring your own thicker blankets if you are staying in winter. We were able to turn the thermostat up and ran the fireplace for extra heat. The hot tub was nice, but doesn't get super warm and also doesn't have a lot of lighting for nighttime so plan accordingly. Great stay!
We had a great experience! Plenty of room for 2 families. Great private back deck with hot tub, cozy living room with fireplace, and game room that will keep kids (and adults) busy for hours. Even though you are tucked away in the mountains, it’s an easy drive to either Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg.
