Great Quick Trip

Good location between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Grandson loved the creek out back. Both bedrooms had king size beds which is sometimes hard to find in multiple bedrooms. We also appreciated the extra twin bed in the secondary bedroom.

We would definitely come back to stay here. In fact my mom wants to come back for a week sometime soon. It was clean, very nicely decorated. I loved these 2 king size bedrooms with the extra twin bed. The couch even made a bed and their was a hide a bed but we didnt need either for our stay.

Maple Ridge- Cabin #8

Property was located far enough out so that you could enjoy peace and quiet. We came to ride motorcycles for the week- having the carport was really awesome. Easily able to communicate with property manager when needed. Would definitely recommend if you want a little space from the busy parkway but want to be close enough to go shop/eat/visit in the touristy parts and also ride out to the Blue Ridge & Smoky Mtns. Thanks again for letting us stay!

Overall Good Property--Not Very Pet-Friendly

Overall, we all had a great trip and a great time. The property and home were perfect for my family of 3 and our dog. We ran into several issues with the very sensitive toilets, sheets that would not stay on the beds, and the cleanliness(mostly of the bathrooms). I also would like to throw out there for any pet owners that pet-friendly is only referring to 15lb non shedding dogs only. I somehow missed that part in the contract and was not made aware elsewhere and they backcharged us for our dog when we left because they ran into minimal shedding. I will say, the property is beautiful and we really enjoyed the creek and being close to everything yet feeling like we were secluded in the beauty of Tennessee.

Our little piece of heaven

My husband, sister in law and myself plus our chihuahua stayed at Gone Fishin for three nights to enjoy the fall foliage. We loved the location of the cabin away from the mainstream of traffic. It was very accessible without having to have a four wheel drive. As we were driving up We noticed the stone wall surrounding the property. I did not have to put little Rose on a lease when she was outside. The cabin was very clean and we felt right at home. Loved the sounds from the creek and enjoyed watching the cows on the other side of the creek watching us. Close to all the attractions was a plus. This was our first time staying at Gone Fishin. Will definetly stay here again. Thank you Lori for such a joyous and relaxing time.

Wonderful stay

Our rental home was just as described. Check in process was a breeze. We had one small issue but sent a message to the owner not long after we arrived. It was fixed by the following afternoon. The amount of sleeping provided was amazing. This is a two bedroom house. Bedroom 1 has a king bed, bedroom 2 also had a king bed and a twin. The closet had a rollaway. We have been renting houses for 12 years now and this is he first property to provide linens. It was so nice to have towels and linens on all the beds. Added bonus dish towels and clothes. I usually have 2 totes packed with just these items. They provided shampoo, bar soaps in both bathrooms, and starter toilet paper. Kitchen had dishsoap and dishwasher tablets. I read a previous review where someone said they had no wood for a non fire. I had the kids pick up stick from the yard and along the creek. We had enough for two evenings of fire. The owners did provide a nice size starter of firewood. However, we did not even need to use it. The creek was awesome. It kept the entire family entertained. We caught several fish. The kids floated down the creek on tubes the entire day. I read another review talking about the houses decore being terrible, she even wrote she would return until it had been updated. My husband and I both loved the decor! Really cute rustic theme. We really enjoyed the little wood details throughout. The home also provides a washer and dryer. This came in very handy. It was great to have one in the home. I did several loads of towels due to swimming. The only thing I would recommend is a small first aid kit inside the home. We had a fall in the river. We typical have bandaids with us but due to several falls the kids had used them all up. We have already had friends ask us about renting the house for their own vacation next year. You won’t be disappointed here.
