Daydream Hideaway Cabin - Mtn retreat in the swaying pines, firepit, playground
DAYDREAM HIDEAWAY Cabin- A Beautiful and home-like JUST renovated CABIN. (2/2023) with inviting and comfy decor throughout, a wrap around porch and expansive deck with fire pit. Your own private retreat nestled in the Smokey Mountains and surrounded by tall pines with plenty of level parking.
Please now OVERLOOK the bad reviews..! … Basically, a wicked divorce filed w/ allegations and money mismanagement led to bad finances and as a result poor mgmt. but only temporarily..! Now that is over; the squeaky floors & lousy hot tub have been replaced, (at a cost of $17,000) this has been done as of 2/2023..!
This is a newly built luxury lodge on Bear Mountain Ln. 20-25 minutes to Dollywood (or the heart of Pigeon Forge) and/ or 30 minutes to the heart of Gatlinburg. It’s secluded, and not on a Mountain stockpiled with cabins one after another. The one great advantage to being at this distance, you take the back roads in and the back roads out. If you’ve ever traveled to Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge during the high seasons, you’ll know how jampacked & frustrating the parkway can get. You avoid most all of it as this cabin triangulates the two cities and avoids the main causeway if you have a set destination in mind. Basically it hits a sweet spot.
All the attractions like the ATVs, zip line courses, some great hiking adventures, a crazy “Tiger King” style petting zoo, and outdoor gravity park (Zorbi g) are all really close to this Cabin as well.
It’s a relatively easy drive from bottom road up the mountain. It’s your typical TN mountain meandering switchbacks and it winds but is easy enough for the last 6-7 minutes up the mountain. nothing like Chalet village in Gatlinburg. Parking for at least 6+ vehicles on a level area.
Driving up you get the feel of a real Lodge or Ranch . Pergola entry and split rail fence on either side. A great heavy duty wood PLAYGROUND, large enough for big kids and adults alike. Equipped with a dream catcher type tire swing, “pirate ship” swing, climbing wall, rope swing and 13 foot slide. The A frame swing is installed outside in the front yard for relaxing and watching the kids play.
The Front Porch area near the entrance is where you’ll locate the good sized Weber Grill for the grill master to do their work while kids sit on the actual swings and watch the master do their grilling.
Walking in you will find a custom kitchen w/ stainless appliances, fully stocked kitchen with anything your group may need. Granite counters, large granite island in the kitchen w/ 4 barstools for more seating. Next to the kitchen is a custom made (by local TN man) oak table with 4 benches. It seats at least 12-14. Flat screen TV and an electric fireplace included in living room. Two leather couches upstairs and unique seating to gather.
It boasts 3 master suite bedrooms plus 1 additional large bunk room for the kids/ children. Two of the master suites are upstairs and have their own large porch the length of the entire back of the house (super wide and long). The deck off the 2 upstairs master bedrooms share four rockers and tables for each couple to enjoy. Each master suite has its own flat screen TV, walk in closet & full-sized bathroom; w/ custom stonework/walk-in showers/granite.
Downstairs you will find another Master Suite with King Bed, flat screen TV and sitting area with rocker. The 2 downstairs bedrooms share a full- sized bathroom with shower and tub. Again, custom stonework in shower and granite counters. The house has NEW real wood floors (as of 2/2023) upstairs and the previous squeaky floor (often the aspect of bad reviews) has been torn out and replaced. All mattresses and pillows are Sealy Sleep, very comfy.
The 4th room (children’s bunk house) has 2 sets of double log bunk beds w/ twin on tops. The room has a flat screen TV on the wall and a big coffee table with games. Large walk in closet completes the room. Pack-n-play can be found in that closet
Downstairs consists of 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a theater room, a custom whiskey barrel bar and game area. (think two large living areas; flowing from cozy hangout area with mini fridge onto entertainment, physical games and arcade gaming.
Area has a full- sized PING PONG Table. Table top MULTI-CADE arcade game (200 games in one - vintage style). The large big screen smart TV downstairs has an original Xbox attached, and many games attached to it for even more retro entertainment. A large/ oversized Jenga can be found on the bar top as well
Walking out of the back lower level you’ll find a 5 person Nordic Retreat hot tub, and massive fire pit. Please refrain from use on windy nights and otherwise maintain good Fire Safty practices. Enjoy this cabin has a lot to offer.
Feel free to rummage the land for firewood, or to buy bundles from the nearest gas station. We actually recommend buying a few bundles and lighter fluid on your way in.
Tiny Home option/ Bonus note:
LIL’ HIDEAWAY - Just down the ridge line is tiny home/ park cabin, that sleeps up to four and has its own private 3 person hot tub. It’s a one bedroom, one bathroom with a pull out sofa. Come fully stocked with all the cute amenities of an tiny home (approx. 470 ft.²). If available and if interested,.. it rents for additional $120-$150 per night w/ a $50 cleaning fee per stay.
Note: It’s the only other property that you can visually see from the big cabin. You can only see the upper half of the tiny home (or less typically) and it sits opposite the playground area. All the windows of the tiny home face the other way, and mid tree-line (except for a small kitchen window). Both homes sit on their own and separate 1.5 respective acres, or a lil’ over 3 mountainous acres altogether.

Myself and another part of my family stayed here totalling 10 people (5 adults and 5 kids). The place was clean and had more than enough space. The playground was grwat for the kids and loved the location. Would definitely stay here again!
We had a great time. The kids loved all the games and ping pong table. They also loved the playground. It was close to all the activities we wanted to go to. It was a beautiful cabin and extremely roomy for our large crowd.
Our family of 14, ages 11mos- adult, loved this property. It was the perfect size and had everything we needed to keep everyone entertained. It was clean and well maintained. We would 100% stay here again!
This property work out well for our family. We travel every year at thanksgiving to pigeon forge and celebrate Christmas with our family in TN during this time. Excellent property, everything needed was provided, very clean, layout was perfect! We would definitely stay here again.
This property comfortably housed my family as well as my sister’s family for an absolutely fantastic time of family togetherness. The playground out front was the best! We made fires in the fire pit and enjoyed the incredible beauty of this spot.
Central location, about 30 minutes from both pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. Swing set was great for the kids. Clean cabin. A good amount of space for big groups!
The cabin was somewhat easy to get to, the signage could have been a little better but the cabin itself was the perfect size and set up for our family. the open living space and kitchen. was great along with the gameroom and hot tub.
This was an amazing and best VRBO i have ever rented. So beautiful inside and out. The bottom floor was laid out perfectly for teens as well as small kids with their own private playground. Upstairs was so nice and spacious so so adults coule
This place was perfect! Had all of fixing for a great getaway. There was accommodations for everyone. Kids were entertained without having to leave and the adults were able to enjoy the space of well.
Quick trip with friends. Loaded three families into the main cabin and had plenty of space for little feet to run around. Enjoyed hanging out and being close to the action.
Very nice place. Very remote yet close enough to all major attractions. About half way up mountain on a flat lot. Very kid friendly with nice play ground. Great to go outside with grandkids and play on playground while waiting for the rest of your crew to get ready. Nice place I would rent again without hesitation.

It was a beautiful property. We love staying there. Everything was clean. We came out for a Jeep invasion and had a blast. Everything it said it was there. We'll go back to those property year after year.
We came to Pigeon Forge for a baseball tournament at the Ripken Experience. This cabin was perfect to relax and give our littles something to do after games for the day. Be sure NOT to use WAZE as directions, but Apple Maps takes you straight there.
Perfect Smoky Mountain Christmas!
Gorgeous home that suits everyone of all ages.
The guys loved the theater/game room, while us girls curled up in the living room with the christmas tree on & Christmas movies.
Cant wait to come back!
My family and I really enjoyed this property for our stay. We had 4 adults and 6 kids ranging from 2-15. Everyone had a wonderful time. The game room was a hit with everyone. Many feelings were hurt on the ping pong table! The hot tub was nice. It is a tad on the small size for a large group but we didn’t all want to go in so it worked out. The property was very clean, comfortable, and communication with the host was quick. The road to the property is small and very windy so be aware if that’s a a concern to you.
We've stayed in Tennessee for 3 years in a row and this stay was hands down our favorite!!!! The cabin was super clean at check in, and completely stocked with cookwear in the kitchen! There was almost no communication needed with the owner just because everything was as advertised! I definitely 10/10 recommend. Also i know some people had problems getting to the cabin, personally for us, google maps took us right to it!
The Daydream Hideaway proved to be the perfect spot for our family (10 people, 3 generations. The place is spacious and comfortable, with ample entertainments – ping-pong, hot tub, games – inside, and the setting is lovely, natural and walkable. There’s plenty of privacy on Bear Mountain and very little traffic. All the delights of the Smokies, from Dollywood to the National Park, are just down a winding road. There’s more driving involved than if we’d stayed in a place closer to the tourist strip, but it’s mostly driving on the beautiful, uncrowded back roads of Sevier County, and if you’re looking for a peaceful, quiet place to stay, Daydream Hideaway is the ticket.
This is a very good cabin for families with school aged children. Our grandkids loved the playground area and having their own bedroom full of bunk beds! The cabin has a large open layout for the kitchen and living room. The kids had a ball decorating cookies and making crafts at the big table. Bedrooms were cozy and the bathrooms were beautiful. They obviously had been updated recently. The bathroom doors, however would not lock. Probably wear and tear.Im sure the owner will have them repaired as the cabin is well taken care of.
