Not the best
I will start out by saying that the management company did make the issues we had right so I gave it a 5 star; however; the stay was very disappointing. Management did say they would address everything I discussed. I thought maybe it was just me, but there’s a book in the cabin with other testimonials matching my opinion. The location was great although the driveway/road going up can be rough, especially in the rain. The cabin was extremely dirty and it was very obvious that the cleaning crew had not been doing there job for while. Cobwebs, dust, dirty toilets, dirty dishes, etc. Decor and furnishings were old and outdated, but beds were comfortable. We loved the game area. We had alot of fun.
I would definitely recommend arriving before it gets dark. The road is steep but doable. For reference we had a minivan rental. We took two wrong turns the first time but after that it was a breeze. It is a peaceful cabin where you can’t hear road noise and once you are in the cabin you don’t even realize you have neighbors. We have 3 teenage children and they all had plenty of space to spread out. The view was incredible and the pics don’t do it justice. We were able to see fireflies at the cabin as well as a family of raccoons. I highly recommend this cabin if you want to be relatively close to town but feel like you are alone in the woods.
The office was nice and had no problems with them. BUT this cabin was dirty! We had traveled from South Bend, Indiana and Orlando, Florida. We were tired and I had to get my 85 year old mother settled before really being able to check everything out. My son finally mentioned that "oh by the way" the hot tub was uncovered and it's dirty and running. We covered it and turned it off and never used it. We had to move furniture around because my mother uses a walker and could not get around easily - it would not fit through the bathroom door. I'm not sure when the floor was last swept and I had to find a broom (which was absolutely filthy) and sweep the main floor. All kinds of hair and dust. Speaking of dust, this place has not been dusted in ages. I had to wash dishes before using them because they didn't seem clean. And that was after pulling the cupboard doors open because they were "stuck" closed. The shower downstairs had mold and the cold/hot are reversed. Main floor bathroom shower - took several of us to figure out how to turn shower on. Games were all missing pieces. The clutter was everywhere. We were very dissapointed in the cabin overall. The washer and drier need cleaned. Our clothes had more had more hair after washing then before. The main bedroom bed was the worst bed we have every slept in. Pillows were ridiculuos and the mattress was horrible. Not sure when the furniture was last cleaned. We would not recommend.

Distant location and some challenges.
This cabin is pretty and you need to know a few facts
First the road to get to Hidden Hollow Cabins is dirt with many holes. Getting in and out of the road can be scary. The roads in the cabin area are paved and well kept.
Second we were shocked at the distant location of the cabin.
It is pretty and comfortable for three adults. We appreciated we could bring our little dogs.
The main floor bedroom has a king bed with a huge log frame so big my 5'2" sister had to get a stool to get in and out. My room also on the main floor had the worse mattress I have ever slept on. The furniture hits you about mid back with the large screen TV hung high in the tall ceiling room. This made TV and family time not very comfortable. Dining table was very nice and big.
We did not go downstairs to gameroom since the steps were so steep and about 10. It did have a large screen TV and pool table.
The racoons every night kept us from enjoying the hot tub more but it was a nice feature,
If you do not like stuffed real animals DO NOT go to this cabin. A bobcat is lifesize catching a duck. Deer head is hung and pelts lie around in place of dollies.
The microwave is tiny camper size. Pots and pans need to be updated. We had no kitchen towels and finally found potholders on top of the fridge that had a large burn mark across one of the three.
I was told the pool was across the road, NO it is at least 5-6 miles down the road. We did enjoy our stay with getting adjusted to some challenges.
