"La Mezzaluna is a short walk from Barga Gallicano train station, and buses to Lucca. Rita is amazingly hospitable & welcoming, and did so much to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms are very nice, buffet breakfast set us up for the day. There is a bus up to Barga during the day, and a taxi back in evening.If you visit Barga, this is the place to stay. "

"An interesting hotel with 70s-80s decore. A feeling of the past however with a view to the future with serious commitment to green credentials. A slow food restaurant extends the good feeling of solar power, and recycled papers in the bathrooms and dining rooms. "Wow, these guys really have this figured out. I don’t think DisneyWorld has anything on this hotel for well done theme based stays. It is enjoyable to walk around the premises just enjoying all the accoutrements and appointments. The breakfast is awesome. the restaurant was awesome, the staff is awesome, housekeeping is awesome. There is no detail that isn’t important in this hotel. Secure garage parking was really easy to access and kept my motorcycle safe and secure at night. I stayed an extra day I enjoyed this place so much."
