"Good overall stay, nice comfortable king size bed and excellent shower pressure. Amenities good, especially the transfer to the airport and free parking. Would have been good to receive complimentary bottled drinking water, this was chargeable but not expensive. Unfortunately checkout spoiled the stay, city taxes were paid for on arrival by cash with a conversation over the hotel not having exactly the correct change. I am sure the check in reception would remember the conversation. On check out payment was disputed, my advice would be to get a receipt if these are paid for on arrival or make sure they are noted on the room charges. The receptionist clearly didn’t believe the charges had been paid for and this was not pleasant."

"I recently spent three nights at the wonderful Hotel de Ciutat Girona. My room on the second floor was very spacious, extremely clean and quiet for a good night’s sleep. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. The breakfast buffet had everything you needed. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. As I needed to leave early on my last morning the staff organised a breakfast to go bag which was great. The location of the hotel is also a couple of minutes from the famous red bridge that takes you directly into the marvellous old town. I would recommend and would definitely stay again. Thank you."

"The Nord 1901 is an excellent choice for travellers to Girona, being situated just off Independence Square within a short walk of Barri Vell and close enough to walkf rom the train station. The room itself was spacious and the bed very comfortable. A welcome standout amenity is the enclosed pool and sun deck area at the rear of the property which was an oasis to relax in the heat of the day. The reason for 4* is our room was overlooking the Carrer Nord and the street noise was audible from the room and disturbed our sleep and peace. If possible, request a room overlooking the rear courtyard and pool."
