Quiet home in the heart of town, close to Airport and Interstate
Thelander Properties LLC proudly offers "The Brickhouse" for your travel needs. When you inquire about this Home or talk about it to friends you may find yourself saying it as the Commodores song of the same name. :) This is a home built in the 1950's with bricks procured from the local brick manufacturing company just a few blocks away. The house is set back on the lot because there was a Blacksmith shop to the front of the lot in the early days and the owners built the family home to the rear of the lot. We completely remodeled the house a few years ago with new windows, floors, heat and air conditioning new kitchen in 2021 among other things. This house features a queen bedroom on the main floor as well as bathroom and family room. Upstairs are two bedrooms with queen beds as well, to be noted the steps to the upstairs bedrooms are 1950's era and pretty steep so if you have mobility issues I would not recommend this house, it's good for the younger ones for sure! The basement features another family room as well as laundry and a 1/2 bath at this time. Extra large driveway and yard are also featured with this home. The house is walking distance to our local museum, post office, bar and grill among other small businesses. There is no garage with this house currently. Ring brand doorbell in use.

Third year staying at one of their properties. Always clean and well appointed. Whenever I need to be in Sioux City, I check their properties first. Plan on coming back next year.
Comfy small town house next door to a fine bar restaurant Eddie's. Short drive to sioux city. Fairly steep step to 2 upstairs bedrooms. Clean, updated, nice. We'll stay there again.
I stayed there with my wife intending for both of us to work remotely. Between the basement and the first floor, there was plenty of room and the wifi worked well. Kitchen had everything needed and the location was very close to the highway but also very peaceful and quiet. House was very clean and the owner was easy to communicate with.
This is BY FAR, the best place to stay! Brad is more than accommodating, and was on the spot for a weary traveler that couldn't access the code! The house is beautiful, and fit every need we had. The location seems to be pretty close to everything, and we will definitely stay here every time we come back to Sioux City! A definite MUST STAY!!!!!
We really appreciated the charm and cleanliness of the home. It was a wonderful and relaxing stay, close enough to local shopping. A great neighborhood with sidewalks for walking the pooch. Easy to access WiFi and no lag. I would love to book this place again.

Brad was a great host with everything we needed in the home. Great location close to the airport and a quick drive to the city. Definitely would come back and recommend to anyone.
The family enjoyed staying here, we all had plenty of space for each other, had all the amenities that we needed.Clean,Quiet.We will definitely stay here on our next trip
Odd Layout but worked for us. Stairs could be a challenge for some

Good stay
Family stayed over the weekend. Host was extremely friendly and helpful. Some cleanliness issues like dirty dishes in the cupboard, and older furniture, but overall a good stay.
I gave check-in process only 3 stars, NO fault of the host. It is a VRBO app and technical issues. The host immediately corrected it and helped me with check-in. Host made up for the tech issues on behalf of VRBO, very friendly and responsive.
We did a group golf trip and stayed in two of Brad’s properties near each other. Houses were nice, area felt safe. We probably would have preferred a larger home for all of us, and a bit more upscale, but the short term rental market in Sioux City area has limited offerings. So Brad’s properties were wonderful rather than staying in the hotel at the casino nearby. Thanks Brad!
This home was very cute! The stairs leading to the upstairs landing were a bit terrifying at 3 in the morning, but that is no faukt of the property owner! He was very kind and attentative! I think he even blew snow off my car! I would absolutely stay here again. My friend who stayed with me the first night claims she would live in the house. 10/10 from us!
Initially I was concerned that the home was in a noisy area. It was just the opposite. It was quiet and very little traffic. The tavern next door was great since they serve food and we ate there one night. The home worked great for us.
One note, as stated the stairs are very steep. If you have some one in your party that cannot do stairs you need to keep looking
Booked this property as it was easy to get to Sloan and Sioux City to see family, along with two living spaces the home has. There were three adults that stayed; brother/friend/sister. The home is very well kept, quiet location inside and out, along with the overall town and neighborhood. Had more than enough space. Kitchen had everything we needed. Enjoyed morning walks in the well kept neighborhood. We didn't need anything during our stay; communication from the owner before checking in and during the stay was top notch. We hope this home will be available on our next visit.
we just needed a place to stay for a wedding, not planning on being at the house much. We ended up being able to do so much more there. The kitchen is well stocked (including a crock pot) so I was able to make several meals there. I thought we would be downstairs using that area most but the main floor living room is nicely set up, I didn't see the couch in the pictures) so we hung out there. Overall it was a nice space for a family of 6
Everything went great on our visit to Souix City. The property was clean and easy to access. Loved having 3 levels to spread out on and 2 TV's to watch. Seemed like a very safe neighborhood with easy access to (less than 10 min. away) many restaurant choices and stores. Very nice coffee shop with breakfast items about 2 miles away too. Overall a good experience, we would definitely stay again if visiting family.
