We had a great stay at Route Inn Hotel! The staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming.
Our hotel room was clean and comfortable, with many useful amenities, including a refrigerator, which was very convenient.
One thing to note is that even though we had already paid for the hotel, we were asked to pay an additional Sendai accommodation tax of 300 yen per person at check-in. It would have been helpful to know about this extra fee in advance.
The public bath was very nice, clean, and relaxing. The breakfast was amazing, with a wonderful variety of both Japanese and Western food, along with many different drinks to choose from.
Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. We would definitely like to stay at a Route Inn Hotel again on our next trip!

I’m very disappointed about the fact that the hotel does not have the courtesy to provide 1 or 2 hr of late check-out : They charge ¥1,000/hr/person!!!
If it’s a weekend, i can understand, but it’s a quiet Monday!
I’ve been to dozens of hotels in Japan and worldwide, first time I encountered this.
Of course, they’re not ethically wrong or anything; but as a service provider, i will not choose or recommend to anyone.
