Red Roof Inn Del Rio
10/10 Excellent
"Honestly, one of the best hotels deals ever. Not fancy but FAR better than expected for the price we paid. We have stayed here twice this year and can't believe what we get for our money. It's nice to feel like you actually got a good deal these days. Room is great, clean, a fridge and kitchenette, walk in closet in the last room we had. The only thing I would recommend they improve are the beds, they're really uncomfortable and they have some weird metal around the base that pops loud when you move in the bed sometimes. The loud metal sounds are alarming if you're sleeping or your partner is sleeping and you move a little. Not so much a complaint because I will return but, it's just a little constructive criticism I guess so they can improve, literally the only thing I can think of that needs improvement. Great job to the staff and owners of this Red Roof Inn. We will stay here every time we're in Del Rio and recommend to our friends."

"Mario, the man at the front desk made me feel right at home in the very first five minutes. Gave me a downstairs remodeled room right in front of the pool. Good part of town right next to the Main Street. Highly recommended."
"The owner was helpful and welcoming. He happened to be in town and stopped by to introduce himself and answer questions. He offered to cut the grass, which we accepted as we planned to walk around the large property looking for birds. He has an automatic corn feeder for the deer, and birds, which shoots out feed at 5:30pm. A small family of deer come running just before it goes off. Then the birds that can eat corn show up. The highlight was a Scaled Quail. We saw a number of migratory birds in his trees and in the neighborhood. We would stay here again just for the good birding and proximity to parks and sanctuaries. Del Rio has grown over the years and has everything you could need. The property is about 15 minutes away and in a quiet area near the lake which you can see in the distance. The home is well-appointed, beds comfortable, air conditioned, and great views of wildlife from the kitchen, dining and living rooms. We highly recommend staying here! "
WATERFRONT!! Enjoy A Private Waterfront House On Lake Amistad/Devils River
10/10 Excellent
"This view from the back deck is what makes this property! The deck furniture is super comfortable & we loved the fire pit that has the swivel grates so that you can cook right over the fire. The sunset views were so colorful & loads of stars at night. The beds are comfortable & the house was clean. Kelly, the host responded quickly to my messages."
"First off the baths towels were in the dryer and not dryed all the way ,which made them smell like mildew..there was a almost empty roll of paper towels and no rolls to replace ,there was old food in the cabinets and refrigerator. There is actually a weekly pill dispenser full of pills that is in the cabinet that Im assuming was left by a guest. The queen bed in the master bedroom had no top sheet just a comforter.there was no bath mat in either bathrooms..which made for a slippery exit out of the shower. There was old bar soap left in the showers. The toilet in the second bathroom had the water turned off because it wouldn't shut off after you flushed it.On a good note the A/C worked perfectly and had ceiling fans in all the rooms. The recliner in the living room needs to be trashed. .it leans to the left ..The trailer was a nice trailer ,it just needs a little of attention to make it better."
