"Everything about this hotel is amazing !!!"

"The first time we planned a stay at this hotel, we walked and were told they had no room for us (they had to close some rooms). They made no attempt to reach us or we might have changed our plans (we were coming from Austin). They sent us to another property that was 15 minutes away and promised a refund. It ruined our weekend plans. After no less than 10 calls, with no returned call, I finally sat on hold over an hour until I spoke to someone who did help us with the refund. The 2nd time was better, and it was fun to be in the historic Alamo area, and not too far from Frost Center, where the Spurs were playing. The food in the restaurant was good, and the entertainment was "OK". I was surprised the manager made no effort to do something nice for the huge hassle we experienced and the time spent trying to correct their error (not even a free drink). But if you want a historic hotel, it was cool. I just hope you have a better hospitality experience than we did. And hopefully they improve the way they treat their guests when something goes wrong."

"Roof top pool is great. Direct access to Riverwalk is great for mobility challenged so as to avoid using stairs. Valet parking is convenient but expensive. Our room had a lot of street noise so good to use ear plugs which I did. Check room location for street noise if you are sensitive to that."

"I loved staying here because you could walk to the river walk in just a few minutes. The staff are super helpful and friendly. The room was really clean and spacious. The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast that comes with the booking. Not only was there no waffle/pancake station, the eggs, sausage, and potatoes were absolutely horrible. The next morning I went down to the river walk and bought breakfast."

"The River View was excellent and we enjoyed the balcony. We were not told that we shared a balcony with 3 other rooms though. The bed was rather lunpy and hard. I told the front desk at checkout and she didn’t respond. We will be back if we are in San Antonio"
