I stayed here with my wife and adult children for part of our Iceland vacation. House was in great location for visits to the Golden Circle and we all enjoyed our stay. Check-in and check-out were easy, amenities were as described and communication from host was prompt. We would differently stay again if we visit in the future.

Fantastic Family House

Very nice place to stay and relax after a day trip. Plenty of room good showers and a hot tub sauna and steam bath. Very clean when we arrived. Good cooking facilities. We had a small issue with the hot water system that was solved quickly after consulting the owner.

Thorsteinn was great at answering our many questions - very quick getting back to us as we had some issues with the sauna and hot tub but managed to get them going in the end. Lovely host, lovely property.

Awesome, great location in a 'neighborhood' not too desolate, but sparse enough for excellent viewing right on property on walkable in the neighborhood in all directions. Excellent property itself, and really close to Selfoss for food, drinks, etc. Excellent experience and hope to be back!

This truly is a “luxury modern home.” It has all the amenities in a clean, comfortable, stylish home set on a hillside with beautiful views.This house is the place to stay! The hosts are incredible! We had a complication due to a flight cancellation and they were so accommodating. They were kind, understanding, and quick to respond and help us find a solution. They saved us from being homelessness for a night! Really grateful!

Perfect spot

Beautiful property about 20 minutes away from Selfoss. Fully equipped kitchen, heated floors, and enough space for a group or family. Thorsteinn was very quick with communication and very patient with our questions. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights during our stay and will always have fond memories of Iceland!

Christmas in Iceland

Our family braved the cold and spent a week in Iceland over Christmas. The property couldn’t have been better. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, steam sauna, cooking in the beautiful kitchen and the proximity to wonderful sights close by. It was a vacation to remember! Very well comfortable home with a great location near the golden circle

The home has everything you need to easily cook meals in. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the living room with large windows and a fireplace. Great location for visiting the golden circle and an easy day trip to Vik. Perfect way to relax after busy days hiking. When we return we will definitely stay at this home again.

Perfect location

Great time for our first trip to Iceland! Our family of 4, 2 college age sons, enjoyed a week of sightseeing and relaxation over the winter break. Grund was located perfectly for us to do short day trips up and down the southern part of Iceland during the short days. We didn’t use the hot tub or sauna because the snow was too deep around it but didn’t miss it at all. We were lucky to see several nights of northern lights with a spectacular display on New Year’s Eve. It is a great house ,location and host. Thanks for a wonderful visit!

Was very nice stay overall

The property was very beautiful and clean. Thorsteinn was easy to get ahold of and very helpful the few times we needed his help. Guest house heat was too hot and we could not turn down heating. Location very nice and secluded but also close enough to town for restaurants & grocery store. Was close enough to many fun things to do and see.
