It was ideally located to the sights and interests we had arranged to see and participate in. The porch was delightful to sit and watch the stars at night and the sunrise over the range in the distance was just perfect. It was clean and well supplied.
Cute property, nice views. Clean. Bathroom was clean, but small. Not much room to set out toiletries. The claw foot tub was beautiful but a little awkward getting in and out.

Very cute, amazing claw tub, definitely older appliances and plumbing but that’s what gives it its appeal! Very quiet, even when other people are staying in the other rooms, you don’t hear them. Amazing view of Jerome and the stars from the balcony! Only downside would be, I wish there were more towel options to choose from.
We enjoyed our stay at the Historic Clarkdale Lodge. The place is old but quaint & clean. The town was a small, close community like in a Hallmark movie, which I love. We appreciated that it was pet-friendly and even welcomed our puppy with a treat and a small blanket.
The only issue we had was not in a bad way; we stayed on the weekend, and they had a bike race event; therefore, it was a problem getting in and out of our parking since the lodge was in the middle of it all. The point is, before booking, check if an event is happening on the day/s you are staying.
The apartment is quaint with an authentic cast iron claw foot tub and a bright kitchen with the original wood frame pull up windows that fill the entire wall facing east. The place was clean, sparkling clean really, without the scent of standard cleaning products. I was very impressed with the depth of attention given to cleanliness. The photos in the ad are from an earlier phase, because when I stayed there the owner had painted two accents walls a deep warm blue, one in the small living room and the other in the bedroom which add a modern touch to the period architecture of the rooms. I enjoyed my stay very much.
Overall the room was cozy and very nice all the amenities were great. The only issues we had were that some dirty towls were left and the trash bins were full when we arrived. Otherwise the location was great and the host was responsive.
nice remodel of a old Motel/bunkhouse. great location for the train ride. comfortable bed all needs available. large rooms. great for long stays. wish the town would build up. looks like it used to be alot of fun.
Funky, CLEAN, convenient to ALL of the fun things to see/do in this interesting historic area. We spent Christmas here and it could not have been better; can't think of any disappointments for us. BUT, it was the exact opposite of staying at the typical Hilton Inn.

Quite, comfortable, beautiful views, history and charm.
We liked staying in Clarksdale. It is a very quite, friendly town but close enough to Cottonwood and Sadona for more amenities. We stopped at the train car for delicious pastries in the morning, we had dinner at 2 local restaurants that had great food and great service. We also enjoyed live music at one of the local bars. Great vacation.

Great Customer Service
We stay at the lodge during the week for business travel. Memi and Dan go above and beyond to ensure that all of the guest are well looked after.
Love the location and the spot unfortunately the mattress is a big deal with how I sleep so that would be my only negative.

Amazing stay, Amazing views!
We loved staying at the Clarkdale Lodge! Our room had a full kitchen, two televisions, gorgeous views and a kitchen. Only thing that I would add in the kitchen would be a mixer. We loved the claw foot tub and the comfy king size bed. The shared top floor balcony was a nice place to have a drink, watch the sunset, and meet others that were staying at the Lodge. The staff and owners are really nice people! We will return!

Clean, quiet and comfortable.
Although the apartment was old in years it was very clean and comfortable. Our host, Ann, was very accommodating and helpful. We noticed after our arrival that the refrigerator wasn't working and Ann quickly relocated to another apartment.

Quaint. Great location for Cottonwood or Clarkdale wine tasting
I like this property and would have given it a 4 except I did not receive check-in information and had to email the owner 2 hours before we arrived for details. Luckily they responded and there happened to be someone at the property.

Spacious and well appointed.
We stayed 3 nights @ Clarkdale Lodge over Christmas.
Reservations and getting in and to the apartment were easy! The place was warm and cozy while being spacious and bright.
The kitchen had everything we needed. The big screen in the bedroom was great and we even got to watch Netflix!
The location is great for Verde Valley Railroad and Tuzigoot! Jerome is about a 15 minute drive up the hill. Cottonwood is also super-close.
Clarkdale surprised me, I didn't know there was this little, charming Historic town and I have been up to Jerome many times!
I recommend Clarkdale Lodge and would happily return! We had fun and romantic time.
This place is so cute and comfortable. I stayed in room 208 which has shared access to a large outdoor patio with good seating and nice views. It also has lots of windows which makes the place bright and cheery. No complaints. The owner was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. I would recommend this place and I will be back.

Great little getaway
The place was really cute! It is a small apartment with a comfy bed, full kitchen, and cool claw foot tub (we didn't use it, but I still like that it was there.) Our dogs were really comfortable there and enjoyed having their own blankets left by the manager! The check in process wasn't so smooth. I called an hour in advance as the directions stated, but I had to leave a voicemail message. Instead of calling me back or sending me a text, the manager sent an email with the room number, key pad code, and wi-fi password (yikes). As we were on the road, I didn't expect the communication to come via email, so I never even checked it in response to leaving a voicemail message. Thank goodness someone answered the check in phone when we arrived and told me to check my email! Overall, it was a nice stay.
This place was a great home base for my daily hiking trips! It was very spacious, comfortable, & having the kitchen was awesome! I enjoyed sipping coffee on the deck & looks g at the view.
They claimed they never saw my request for a downstairs room and refused to refund the night I had to stay at a hotel. Awfully strange that they knew I had a pet, but somehow missed the part that the dog was elderly and couldn’t climb stairs. Nice property otherwise, quiet and conveniently located. Just make sure you get your room reservations in writing up front.
