The Katy Trail Rest Stop is the perfect place to unwind and take in all that Sedalia has to offer! Your family will be close to the Katy Trail, State Fairgrounds, and Historic Downtown Sedalia when you stay at our spacious, centrally-located home.
The space
Our house is perfect for families, groups of friends, or business travelers alike. The eclectic aesthetic will make you feel right at home in Sedalia, providing you a stress free space to relax after a day of exploring or visiting family.

The home features three bedrooms. One with a king bed and adjoining bathroom. And two with a queen bed. The hallway bathroom has a bathtub/shower.

+ Unwinding
The décor & amenities reflect the quaint, welcoming feel of Sedalia. We have smart TVs that provide a plethora of apps guests may sign into. The kitchen is fully stocked with all cups, plates, cookware and bakeware that you would need to cook meals in. We also provide coffee, sugar, & creamer to warm you up anytime of the day.

Great Communication

In town for work, had a furnace issue, responce was prompt and we had the issue resolved quickly, nice neighborhood close to restaurants and activities, will definitely stay again for future trips.

Clean house next to katy trail and state fair grounds

Sedalia is a small town so it can be a challenge to find a good place to stay. This house is set up with everything you need and its proximity to the katy trail and state fair grounds make it a good choice.

Perfect for 5 adults

We were traveling through the area with our 2 adult sons and our daughter-in-law so we were only there for a short period of time. The house was very clean & cute, easy to find and was just what we expected from the listing.

Great Spot to Enjoy the Fair

We were able to enjoy a day at the fair. There was a slight problem with the code, but I was able to contact the owner and give the info to my adult son and they connected and resolved the issue asap. The house was clean and easily accomodated all 7 of us.

Family fun

My siblings and I came to Sedalia to visit our sister and stayed here. Overall house is nice but the kitchen was lacking a few things. I contacted Taryn and she immediately took care of what we needed and was very responsive. Great location and there are many things close by for shopping, restaurants, etc.

The property is as listed. Large bedrooms with comfortable beds and simple decor. The master could use some room darkening blinds or curtains to enhance the experience. The amenities are basic but absolutely all we needed for our visit. Thanks

State Fair

our family exhibits at the fair every year and we have stayed in different accommodations just about every year. The bedrooms are nice and big and very comfortable. Our only negative would be the kitchen. We like to cook and the kitchen was a little lacking. A quick trip to a 2nd Hand Shop would greatly improve the cooking utensils and dinnerware. We would definitely ask to stay here again.

Great place to stay

It was clean, spacious, and a great location for where we needed to go. The door lock was stuck when we got there but we were able to get in after a few tries. The breaker was also off so no hot water until we figured that out. The owner was super helpful with our questions. We travelled with an infant so only recommendation if you want families to rent more often would be to provide a high chair and a pack n play. Just a suggestion.

Just okay

I don’t want to be rude, but I do believe the home could have been a lot cleaner. There were clothes left there from previous guest. The porch had cobwebs by the door and was not very clean. The dishes had not been unloaded from the dishwasher. There was no way to clean off the counter as in no kitchen rag no paper towels or anything of that sort.. There was no abundance of towels for showers and overall I do believe it could have been cleaned better. I would like to also suggest a slightly better stocked spice, cupboard with at least salt and pepper and possibly garlic available One of the reasons we choose to get Vrbo it gives us the ability to prepare without having to eat out every day and this is the first place that I’ve stayed at the that did not have simple spices or oils to cook with That would have been very handy again the lack of paper towels or things to use in the kitchen was Disappointing. Also, all of the soap for the bathrooms was either low or nonexistent. I would think that after guest leave and the home is cleaned things would be a little more stocked and prepared for the next guests arriving.. Overall, the location was good for the event we were attending and we enjoy being able to have our own space without having to depend on hotels, but I honestly do not believe we will be staying there again as we do plan on attending the same event for years to come

Work crew stayed here during an out of town project. They were very happy with the accomodations and commented how much nicer and spacious this stay was over a hotel room.The host was great to work with, I would definately book again for a work trip, or even for a family getaway to Sedalia.
