Overall, it was great for what we needed with just the right amount of beds and bathrooms. The view is perfect! The furnishings were up to date and beautiful. The only drawback is the road noise, which can't be helped, but with a good brown noise machine, fan or cell phone set to brown noise nearby, it does calm the traffic sound good enough. It was clean, and we had all we needed.
Communication was quick and easy! The view is amazing!!! Plenty of parking for everyone! We spent a lot of time of the front porch look at the view! The house is very cozy and has everything you would need!

The non stick in pots and pans were almost gone. Lots of hair and dust on floors and in pot storage. Inside of kitchen cabinets were very dirty. No closets in the house or suitcase holders. The beds were good and the living and dining room was nice.
The view was SO beautiful and very well kept. You won’t regret looking at the river from the deck. As people have mentioned, the traffic from the road can be a lot, but if you have a sound machine and good earplugs you should be fine. We enjoyed our time here and do not miss the farmers market up the road. The most beautiful produce I have ever seen.
We stayed here because it was close to the wedding venue. Kinda the Same beautiful view as the wedding but looks down the river instead. Still magnificent view!
Loved staying here with my family.
Very nice property, very comfortable. On a busy road but it isn't really that noticeable. Well appointed and comfortable furnishings. Would highly recommend.
We loved the house and it was perfect for our stay. Our daughter got married at Infinity Event Venue about 5 miles away. Perfectly decorated and the view was amazing! Rental company was responsive and accommodating!
The home was clean and had all items in the bathroom and kitchen that we needed. Even though it was cloudy the night we stayed, the view was still beautiful! The property manager was quick to respond to my questions when booking. The road noise was a bit more than we are used to, but we knew it would be based on the location. Great place!
First time staying in Alabama. We rent vacation houses many times per year and I can say our stay here was wonderful. It is close to the road, there is definitely road noise, but it didn't matter, the house and the view made you forget the noise. The bed was beyond comfortable! We lost power one night (the entire area, not a house issue). I messaged the host and received a response within minutes (at 9:30 pm). She called the power company and it was back on within 30 minutes. We also requested an extra night stay, which we were so glad we did. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay!!
Positives:Absolutely beautiful view, easy entry into home, nice circle drive making exit of property safe and easy, very well decorated with not too much or to little with calming feel to it, the most comfortable master bed that I have stayed in with a vacation rental, wonderful wrap around porch and gorgeous natural lighting in living area, close to Scottsboro and convenient drive to most anywhere.Things to consider:You can hear road noise, be careful getting out of vehicle as drive is narrow with drop offs, master bathroom is a "step up into" scenario, kitchen is adequate but not gourmet, minimal supplies plan run to restock supplies like paper towels, soap, etc..after 1st day or so, driveway is narrow and easy to miss on such a busy road if coming in at night.Negatives:None to speak of.
We so enjoyed our trip to The Overlook for our spring break. The view was amazing and the house was beautifully decorated. The house was well-stocked and the sheets/mattresses were so comfortable. Is it next to a busy road? Yes, but it wasn’t bothersome at all. The sweet kitty visitor (we called her Mama Penelope since there will be babies VERY soon) was an added bonus. She was super friendly and we just loved her. We can’t say enough good things about this house and were so sad to leave. We hope to have the opportunity to stay again soon!

Great cabin, beautiful view, very noisy
We didn't realize that when they say located right off of the highway, they meant RIGHT off the highway. Like 12 ft. We went for a quiet weekend retreat with co-workers (church staff) and had to shift gears once we arrived. The cabin is beautiful and clean, and the view is incredible. Just know it's on a very busy highway making sleep difficult at night. I recommend bringing earplugs and just knowing ahead of time that there will be road noise. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the cabin, just not for a silent retreat :-)

The view was spectacular. The house was spacious and clean on the surface, the towels were too old and should be replaced with a more hygienic color ie white or lighter color. The owner is feeding the cats and they felt comfortable lying on the deck with us. One room had a stain carpet and there were missing tiles in the kitchen and there is no place to hang your clothes ie no closet space. It would be nice if there was at least one full length mirror. Not “ada” compliant.
This place was great to stay at, it is super cute! The property managers had great communication. Only issue is there are no closets in the rental. They do have drawers but no closets to hang formal attire. I do think the cleaning company needs to be changed. There are only 2 bathrooms and we all just used the master bath. The shared bathroom tub is very dirty and had spiders/spider webs in it. We were so busy with a wedding we didn't even report it to the property management team to get cleaned up. I have no doubt they would have gotten it clean if I would have complained about it. They are fantastic! I would stay here again, beautiful view!
