SHOW UP, RELAX, ENJOY! IT'S THAT SIMPLE...



Here's what you get at Karr Beach House on Franklin...a comfortable beach cottage designed to feel "beachy" and provide you with everything you need to relax and enjoy as soon as you step through the door. 

Our house was built in 1926 and we've managed to retain much of it's charm and character without sacrificing our guests convenience and comfort. 



Play Pac-Man on a real arcade game, including other fun arcade games!

Relax in the comfy home, walk to downtown (10 min) along the ocean shore on the promenade, play in the water, barbecue your favorite meal, have a bonfire on the beach (1 block away)...It’s all ready and waiting for you!

Our house is dog friendly, and so is the beach! The entire beach is an off-leash dog paradise (owners are VERY responsible and attentive to their dogs). It's a great opportunity for your dog to run around, and make some new friends. Also, our yard is fenced in for your four-legged friend. REMINDER: We won't charge you a pet fee!

NOTE: Our house will sleep 8 people, but it's pretty tight for 8 adults, especially when there are multiple women. The bunk beds are more suitable for teenagers or small adults. The one bathroom is the main issue for a large group with multiple women. We frequently have 8 guests and it works out just fine for them. Please consider these points before booking this house. If you determine it'll work for your group, book away!!

King bed, Queen (Casper mattress!) bed, bunk beds (2 beds total), a pull out couch, and a pack n play crib.

This little cottage was perfect for our brief stay in Seaside. It was just a short walk to the beach, and the interior was cozy and comfortable for the three of us (2 adults and teen-aged daughter). Nice decorations added to the beach-side atmosphere - we enjoyed the vintage ambience.

Family reunion fun!

We had a wonderful stay for our family of 7. The property had everything we needed. Comfortable house and quiet neighborhood. It is not a modern home, but a fun beach house that is comfortable, welcoming, and decorated with love.

Great place for a family

What a great place! It was just as listed and had everything we needed and more (lots of fun beach items in the garage). Really appreciated all the extra blankets and towels as well. Loved the bunk beds and Pac-Man game for my kids. It’s also an easy, quick walk to the beach.

It was an easy walk to the beach. The house has beach equipment to use. Also a fire place to heat the living room. A very inviting place. We would stay here again.

Little peace of paradise

LOVED this home. Quiet neighborhood in walking distance to the main strip and the best beache we have been to in Seaside in 51 years. We FINALLY found sand dollars! Loved that the owner had lots of extra towels and comfy blankets available. A lot of love has gone into this place and we can't wait to stay again!

The location and neighborhood were perfect.Would suggest the place be updated some, maybe include carpet and furniture shampooing.After reading some of the comments in the book, looks like this place has not had any upgrades for about 20-25 years.

Weekend, getaway, and birthday celebration

It was excellent! Sweet home with all the amenities you would need for a great time and catch up with grand kiddos. They live in Portland so we’re able to come and enjoy the beach and some long overdue laughs with those little kiddos. Had a wonderful sunset supper on the deck at Maggie‘s restaurant to make the weekend. Perfect with Scott and I. We definitely will be back.

Cozy and comfortable. Listing was very accurate/honest about limitations (one small bathroom, small bunk room for kids). Property manager was extremely responsive when we had an issue with dishwasher. Broken travel crib was replaced immediately. Loved walking to beach and to town on the promenade!

The beach access is great - just a block away. The house was clean and comfortable. I would definitely not book it for 8 people - I would say it would sleep 6, but the living/sitting space would be tight even with 6 - we had 4 adults and 2 dogs.

Very pet and friendly beach house

Our family of 5 had a great time at this house. Perfect size and loved having a little yard to let dogs out and even the 5 year old play in. Bedrooms were nicely arranged. Short little walk to beach. We would love to stay here again.

Very close to the beach, had everything we needed to stay, we did find a bunch of cherrios around the dining room table floor, and a bit on the dusty side. We will probably find a different property to stay when we come back to stay in seaside next year.

Great stay!

Great stay for a group of 4 adults with a baby. Close to the beach and a nice fenced in yard for pups. Perfect for baby’s first trip out of the big city.

National Park vacation

8 of us stayed and had plenty of space for our group. The bathroom situation is odd but it worked. Parking was tight as we had an F150 Supercrew and Ford Explorer. Half of ate at Dooger’s and the others did chipotle at the house. Portions at both were generous.

Very cute, old house in a quiet part of town. Beds were comfortable, the rooms were spacious, and the kitchen had the basics for breakfasts before exploring the town and the beach. The beach is very close and accessible and the house came with a bunch of beach toys, chairs, towels, and even some fishing gear and a clam gun! The kids enjoyed playing the arcade games and the other toys. The parking is a bit tight if you need to park in the garage, but there is an outside spot provided as well. We had a great time and would love to stay again sometime!
