Hilltop Haven - Seaside House - Views, Views, Views!

  • This 3-bedroom, 2-bath home in a residential area of upper Seaside is perfect for a short vacation or a longer stay. The main living areas – with panoramic ocean views – are on the upper level, along with the master bedroom and a full    bath. Downstairs, two guestrooms (one Queen and one twin daybed with a pullout trundle) share a second bath (also with a tub/shower). This home features multiple areas for enjoying the outdoors. A small deck off the living room has a gas barbecue, and on sunny days the ocean view balcony off the master bedroom will be your favorite hangout… unless you’re in the yard, serving wine and cheese on the oak wine barrels, under a vine-covered arbor… or warming yourself around the fire pit (Duraflame logs only) after the sun goes down. The living room has bamboo floors and a large TV; the kitchen has tile countertops, a gas range, a side-by-side refrigerator and a breakfast bar (there’s also a glass-topped dining table with seating for four). But in this location, cooking is definitely optional: take your pick from delis, diners, and a gamut of international cuisines: Thai, Chinese, Mexican, Japanese, German, Italian and more.  Single car garage. Sleeps 6 in beds: 2 Queens and one twin trundle (plus air mattress for extra guests). Seaside Transient Use License #STR 20-0065 Seaside is a small coastal community just north of Monterey.

Great Getaway!

We have made Hilltop Haven our go to place for our summer vacation. The rental never disappoints. It is fully stocked with everything we need. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms make it perfect for our family of four if grandparents cannot make it. The outdoor barbecue is great when we want to prepare our own food. The washer and dryer are a huge bonus. The location is close to Monterey, Pacific Grove, Costco, and Smart and Final. We really enjoy the short drive to the Fish House, Cannery Row, and Fisherman's Wharf for clam chowder. Del Monte Beach is less than 10 minutes away. The Farmer's Market is a great treat to give back to the community, and enjoy fresh fruit, vegetables, and so much more. The place is clean and well-maintained. Michelle is helpful if we have questions. A great place to stay.

Quaint Cottage

Our party of four enjoyed our stay at Hilltop Haven. It looked just like it did in the pictures and was clean and ready when we arrived. The kitchen is fully stocked with all sorts of things, which made preparing food there so easy. The towels and pillows were of a nicer quality than you typically have at a vacation rental. The only things that would have made our stay nicer were knowing about the steep driveway (we had an elderly person in our party) and having someone respond to our request about how to turn on a fan (we sent multiple texts with no response). All in all it was a lovely stay.

House was pretty clean and accurate description. However communication was lacking, especially when it says there is a 24 hour line available. Messaged and called, left a voicemail on the 24 hour line, messaged through the app and directly to the owner and didn’t get response back regarding additional toilet paper which is a basic amenity when staying at a house. The house is also very noisy from street noise if sleeping in the master bedroom. Other than those issues, it was a nice stay.

Good location and views

My wife and I stayed here 3 nights on a trip to Monterey Bay, Big Sur and California coast. Nice home, great views from the second story. Clean and welcoming, easy in and out driving around the peninsula, would stay again.

A home-away-from home

Hilltop Haven was exactly as presented in the VRBO listing. Staying there was like living in a second home. We will definitely stay there again when we are visiting friends and family in California in the future. Much appreciated to the owners for all the effort and care they expended to make the home so comfortable.

Hilltop Haven is a great vacation rental!

Our last trip to Hilltop Haven was awesome! This was our third time staying at this great location. It is so close to the lightly populated Del Monte Beach or Seaside beach. The location was great for all of our needs and wants. Close to Smart and Final, Monterey's Fish House restaurant, Cannery Row, and Fisherman's Wharf. This vacation rental is clean, well kept, fully equipped, and a great place to bring our family. After a day of shopping, or at the beach, this is the place where you can relax and enjoy. We look forward to our next visit.

Graduation Weekend

We are a family of 5 who came down from the SF Bay area to spend 4 days/3 nights for our daughter’s graduation and bday. Great location to CSUMB and excellent property for us to hang out, cook together, and still have ability to have quiet space too.

Beautiful Home Base

We stayed at Hilltop Haven while visiting the towns in the general vicinity - Monterey, Carmel by the Sea, and Big Sur. Hilton Haven was a lovely and comfortable home base to go back to, but we wished we had built in more time to just relax in that beautiful space. We will definitely do that next time.

Wonderful home!

Hilltop Haven is a wonderful home to stay in if you’re in the area. We have family in Carmel and this home was perfectly located for a back and forth visit. Very well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Clean, with a nice view. We were in Carmel for a family wedding weekend. But we’ll be back for another visit. Communications with the property management was also pleasant.

Beautiful House with Beautiful Views

My son was recently stationed in Monterey. I drove his car out and my family came to visit. The house was perfect for the whole family to enjoy. We wish we had time to have had a fire in the fire pit. We did a lot of hiking and the house was in the perfect location to be able to get to a lot of what the area has to offer. I would definitely recommend using the house on Hilby. This was my first time visiting the Pacific and it did not disappoint.

Birthday celebration

My friend and I came to celebrate her birthday. We both needed an ocean fix. The house is very cute and clean. The driveway is very steep and narrow. There are a lot of cars parked on the street. Steep stairs to get to main floor but they are carpeted. Beds are super comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked with two types of coffee makers Would stay again for sure!!

Seasides weekend getaway

The property is clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beds are very comfortable. The property is located close to Monterey with easy access to everything. Private garage (1 car) and driveway parking is a plus. The only thing we wish not there was the early morning traffic noice in weekdays since the master suite is facing the street. Some light sleepers may want to bring with them some noice cancellation devices or ear plugs for that. But this is at no fault of everyone involved. Overall, we enjoyed the short three day stay at the property very much.
