- Welcome to this charming house on the border of Mount Desert and Tremont. This marvelous property has 6 cozy bedrooms, including 4 queen beds, 2 twin beds, and 1 king bed. With a quiet back yard shaded by a massive maple tree, this nice retreat offers 2 bathrooms for your convenience. Situated on a private dead end road, a peaceful 5 minute walk into Acadia National Park and Hodgdon Pond. Less than a 5 minute drive to the Pretty Marsh Picnic area or the Algerine Coast, whether you seek solace a back road leading to long pond or the vistas of the rocky Maine coast, our family home can provide it all. Part of a former parcel of over a thousand acres, most of which was sold to Acadia National Park. Centrally located about 20 minutes from all major towns and villages on MDI. Enjoy the bustle of Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor, Northeast harbor or Somesville then return to the quiet of the country with your family.

The floors were sticky. Dishes were dirty. No paper towels or extra toilet paper. Door would not lock. Outlet hanging out of wall. Had to turn on lights for outlets to work. No water pressure in showers. Water did not get hot. No A/C or fans. Couch was full of crumbs and hair. It was a good thing we were kept busy away from the house.

Excellent house, very spacious and clean. A few constructive criticism comments would make the stay perfect! we didn’t get checkin instructions so had to sit in driveway for 30 min calling and texting the homeowners to get code. The basement had a very strong chemical smell (recently cleaned carpets?) so we didn’t use the Bsmt bedrooms. No garbage bags or toilet paper but they dropped some off after requesting. Beds comfortable. Coffee maker broken. The main bathroom window needs a shade or curtain to block view from neighbors. Just a few tweaks and this would be the perfect rental!! Thank you for a nice stay.
