Beautiful home and nice location close to beachwalker
Communication through the rental company was very clear and efficient. I got emails well in advance. When we checked in we were blown away with how clean and the ambient spa music playing on checkin. The cottage was beautiful. If I had any issues with the rental it was that there’s no ceiling fans in the entire house and it gets very warm when you have nothing circulating the air conditioner. The thermostat does not go below 68. Fortunately the first two nights it was cold in kiawah so we just cut it off and stayed cool. The house was fantastic other than that and had close walking access to beachwalker park and the ocean. We would def stay again but would bring fans to plug into bedside tables
Location great and other then construction next store perfect stay

Great stay and location!
The IC80: 80 Inlet Cove house in Kiawah Island was great! It had everything we needed and it was truly in an awesome location, close to the beach and nearby shops/restaurants. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend for small groups and/or families.
This is our second time staying at this property and it is perfectly equipped for our needs. Inlet cove is unlike any other place on Kiawah Island. The home was clean, in a great location, and the property manager was very easy to communicate with.

Christmas vacation
Good location and close to beach, furniture could use some updating and kitchen needs more stuff for cooking and baking otherwise enjoyed our stay at this house
Loved Inlet Cove #80. We have stayed in many Inlet Cove houses and this one was one of the best. We did have an air conditioning issue at the end of our stay which was partially rectified. Called the after hours number to possibly get some fans, but we were continually cut off. So the last 2 nights and day were quite warm and uncomfortable. My husband was dripping wet from sweat the morning that we left. We were hoping for some compensation from the rental company but that has not happened.

Kiawah cottage
I would say that this property needs a little tweaking. While the neighborhood was very nice and in a good location to the beach and the pool, the property itself needs some updating. When you first enter the unit, it is very dark. There is very little ceiling lighting and is mostly lit by lamps. The lamps are dull and make it difficult to play games, color with the kids, cook, etc. I think updating the lighting in the unit would make a huge difference. Next, the rugs in the unit were in desperate need of cleaning or replacing. There were several doggie doo doo stains, one that was very fresh. I did call the rental agency to let them know and they said they would have housekeeping take care of it, but nothing was ever done about it. There is little storage in the kitchen for groceries and no television in one of the two bedrooms. The listing noted that there was a grill available, but it was locked up during our stay. Finally there were cleaning products under the sinks in the kitchen and bathrooms that were not locked up. This is a potential safety hazard for anyone with young children. I would consider locking these up for future rentals. We having been coming to Kiawah and renting through the resort for over ten years. I would say this rental does not measure up to the premier units that we have stayed in. I will say the unit has potential but needs a little tlc. I really did enjoy the location and quiet neighborhood. It was really nice and safe for my young children to enjoy bike riding in.
Excellent, but a couple minor items need addressed
Positive:
- Absolutely loved this vacation. Location is fantastically placed right between the beach and the pool. A 3 minute bike ride to either. Also very close to the Freshfields marketplace (grocery, restaurants, shopping) on the west end of the island. House was clean (mostly - see below). Nice touch to have music getting us.
Negative:
- nearly every house on the street had operable lighting on the steps. This house didn’t. Very dangerous and hard to see when trying to walk down steps at night for the nightly dog walk. FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY!
- garbage can lid was broken. Super easy fix. Just buy a new garbage can or go the extra mile and build it into one of the cabinets (which would also keep the dogs out of it)
- shelves in closets were very dirty. Almost looked like rodent droppings. This was nasty.
- I asked owner prior to arrival if there were any beach items there we could use. They said no, and recommended a few rental companies. However, upon arrival we discovered 4 boogie boards, several beach chairs, and a beach cart and umbrella (these two were in rough shape). But the owner’s response prompted me to buy beach chairs and boogie boards and haul them 12 hours south. I would’ve appreciated an honest and accurate assessment of items available. I recognize this is a risk with a rental company as they cannot keep up on the detail of each property they manage.
Suggestions:
- provide a bike rack. Could easily be placed next to the drive where there is plenty of room (like the neighbors have done)
Overall:
- highly recommended! We will most certainly be interested in renting again!
We really enjoyed the decor and updated features in this unit. However, there was a problem with ants throughout the entire week, resulting in the unit not feeling well-maintained from a pest control perspective. I have emailed and texted with the property owners repeatedly, and they have been ignoring me. The most response I have received was that it is a busy time, and maybe someone will get back to me after the summer rental season. I am frustrated.
The house was very clean and comfortable. It was great to check in early. The beds were comfy and I loved the lights on the screened back porch! Overall great stay.

Needs Improvement
Our expectations were not met at 80 Inlet Cove. The rugs were filthy in the kitchen and master bath having never been shaken or vacuumed. The shades were broken in both of the spare bedrooms. The kitchen drawers were a mess. The clock in the kitchen was broken. (New batteries didn't work). The lightbulb was out in the standing lamp and lighting in the room was poor to begin with. The microwave made horrendous sounds intermittently while using it. The very top of the microwave (panel) unit kept falling down. There was a big, pink stain on the living room rug. Outdoor lights on the patio didn't work as one whole strand was not working but my husband fixed by removing the bad lights. The kitchen trash can was broken and didn't operate as it should have. Four lights were out on the stairs going up to the unit which could be a huge liability should someone fall. We told the Sweetgrass people that we did not want anyone in the unit when we were not there BUT THAT WE WOULD BE HAPPY TO ARRANGE TO BE THERE SO SOME OF THESE THINGS COULD BE FIXED BUT NO ONE EVER CALLED BACK TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN. I cannot believe that all management companies do business like this but if that unit belonged to me I would be extremely disappointed in their ability to maintain my investment and to continue a good relationship with the customers that paid good money to stay there. Repeat business and good word of mouth is essential.

Inlet Cove 80
This is my 4th year renting for the month of March. The unit is very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. With the large increase in rent for next year a few updates would be appreciated. Living room furniture and coffee table are dated. Patio furniture for back deck could be increased. Only one lounger. Better toaster and coffee maker is needed. With all that has been mentioned I have already signed up for next year.
Terrific house, in a great location! Clean, comfortable and well appointed.
Hope to be back again. A great couple of days in Inlet Cove. I highly recommend this property!

80 Inlet Cove
We booked this property at the last minute and were pleased with the location and cleanliness of the house. The team at Sweetgrass was outstanding in helping us book our reservation and arranging a speedy check-in. They also were very responsive to any questions we had. The house is a short walk to the beach which was a huge advantage.

lovely relaxing place
This is a very nice place, with original artwork on the walls and very well appointed furnishings. The beds were comfortable as well. I have no complaints with the exception of a lack of screens on the windows.
There were four adults, one teenager and one older child that stayed at this house. Not only was the house fully equipped with everything that we needed for our stay for seven days, but it was clean, well appointed, and fantastically close to the beach. What a bonus to have a gated community where the kids can ride their bikes and not worry about constant traffic.
I’m so impressed with the way this house was managed, so much so that we immediately booked our house for next year with the same company.
We have stayed at Kiawah before, but not Inlet Cove. It was a nice little "side neighborhood," and we would stay there again. What is unique about it is the access to the Kiawah River. If you are into kayaking, this would be a great spot for you! And yet, the beach is still only a 5 minute walk. So it was nice to have that variety. Place was clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, etc.
