I booked a weekend stay to visit my granddaughter who is currently training at the naval base in Goose Creek, SC. My son and grandson came stayed with us. The location was perfect - halfway between Goose Creek & Savannah. The house was quite nice, with plenty of room for us. Friday evening we drove into Beaufort for dinner and were pleasantly surprised with what a lovely town it is. I'd stay here again.
Overall was a great stay. Property is brand new and 30 minutes from Parris Island. Very good kitchen, living room and bedrooms. Definitely great for family and out in the country. The owner is great at communicating. Has a good amount of pans and kitchen utensils. No coffee was available with the two coffee makers but I would definitely book this place again.
Three of us came down from Greenville for an alligator hunt. We chose the Edisto River to hunt but the property is fairly central to the entire ACE basin. We hunted all night for two nights and slept during the day. Great facility for boat parking. Plenty of room to turn around etc. Unfortunately, no gators were harmed, but Gator Camp was great. Nearby neighborhood looked a little sketchy but the property was far enough away that we didn’t fear for stuff in vehicles or the boat.Would stay here again 100% for a hunting or fishing trip in/near the ACE basin.
This was a family vacation. The property was conveniently located where it was easy to get to Charleston, SC, Savannah, GA, and Hilton Head - all for day trips. We also went to Beaufort a couple of times. Very charming area!
The only reason I gave 4 stars on Accuracy of Listing is because there is no hot tub. It is very obviously a brand new build, so it is possible that it is just not installed yet.
All of the living space is upstairs. If you need a ground floor space, this is not for you. We loved it, however. It is quiet, easy to find, and all the other amenities are as listed.
I highly recommend this property, for a nice stay in the Beaufort, SC area!
Overall, the stay was good. We stayed while visiting family that was only 10 mins away, and it was more comfortable and convenient than going down the highway towards Beaufort to stay in a hotel. The home is a little in the middle of nowhere, but that means not homes on top of each other. The one con was unfortunately the beds. Pillows were nice (options of firm and soft), but the mattresses are not the most friendly to stiff backs and aching holips. It appears this is a newer home and perhaps not many others have stayed here yet. The property lacks outdoor seating, if that is a must for you. But perhaps as time goes on, it will be an addition made by the host- there is a nice plot of grass lined by a wooded space at the back of the property. Advertised toiletries were smaller than I was expecting (normal small hotel toiletries), but I anticipate had I needed more, the host would have been accommodating. They were quick to respond and very pleasant to work with. Thank you so much! I have recommended to my family, when they have other family come in (we are a large family), to look at this listing for availability.
I would highly recommend this home to anyone coming to the Beaufort area. The house was large and clean. The house was well furnished. The owner was easy to contact . There is a bonus area in the garage i did not find until the last moment.i cant wait to come back!
