The house is in a beautiful setting with amazing views. Checking in was very easy. It was quiet and very peaceful, which was much appreciated. The host provided great directions on how to find the place and although Google Maps got us most of the way there, at the end, the host's directions were definitely beneficial. The description online is accurate. The house is older and does have some quirks as noted (in addition, the floors slope in the kitchen and bath), although nothing problematic. The basement bedroom and lower area in general was a little musty even though they had an air purifier going the whole time. There were a couple of areas that could have been a bit cleaner, as others have noted as well. We didn't believe the description about a well supplied kitchen but were proven wrong, including cheese grater, pizza slicer, and several other things that were unexpected but much appreciated. We didn't find BBQ tools, but had brought our own, so maybe they were there someplace since we didn't look very hard. I'm sure the mini split AC would be a boon to most as in the evening the western sun can make it very hot during the summer. That said, we still didn't need it even though it was in the upper 80s multiple days in a row. The beach is pebbly higher up, but is rocky and covered with oysters at low tide, so water shoes are recommended. It is 5 minutes from Seabeck, which has a great pizza place and a neat cafe. The host was very communicative and easily accessible.
