The Draftsman, Charlottesville, University, Autograph Collection Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Friendliest staff ever. From the valet parking, restaurant, housekeeping and front desk every one made sure you were taken care of. Bathroom shower was smart and beautiful, beds comfortable. The location was perfect for visiting UVA campus."
"This location is right in the heart of the University of Virginia grounds so it was very easy for us to drive to John Paul Jones arena for the basketball game and to Klockner Stadium for the lacrosse game. It is on a cu-de-sac with other houses. It is very close to restaurants, the Corner, and the downtown mall. If you are going to Scott Stadium, you can walk there which is great because parking is expensive and difficult to get.
The room was clean, but not bright and the temperature on the air conditioning unit was not controllable even after getting assistance.
The staff was very nice and helpful. There is only valet parking which is charged at $15/day.
There is no breakfast on the premises, but they do have a cafe within walking distance that serves great breakfasts at a cost."
