"The apartment was very nice, clean, comfortable and wonderfully located...right on the Mall. The property manager was also very responsive when I was a bit confused about how to enter through the very good security. My only recommendation to future travelers would be to bring Nespresso pods. The apartment has a great Nespresso machine, though pods are hard to come by. However, there are very good coffee shops in the immediate area. Our thanks to the host. It was just what we needed."

"My family loves Deer Hideout Retreat! This was our second stay. We love how well equipped the place is, it’s super clean, and the property (with trails!) is beautiful. The hosts have put a lot of thought into their guests’ comfort and have added so many nice touches. Check in and out is easy. If you need to get away, this is the place to go!"

"We enjoyed this apartment in the heart of downtown Charlottesville. The apartment building was warm and had charming, old architectural details. The rooms were quite spacious, and the abundance of natural sunlight from the large windows was inviting. The piano added a fun touch. We were initially concerned about parking, but it was close, and we could actually see our car from a window in the unit. It was so convenient to walk to some great bars and restaurants. "Located in the Belmont district, the unit was perfect for our weekend. The unit is exactly as shown and it is comfortable and has everything you need for a short stay. The best part is the location! Walking distance, literally behind, Belmont’s Main Street where you have the quaintest restaurants. Main Street Mall is 1/2 mile walk where you find tons of bars, restaurants and two main art venues, the Jefferson and Paramount Theaters. We will definitely come back!"

"Great. Only problem. There were dirty dishes in dishwasher. No biggie for me so I was just going to wash them but no soap to do so. I bought some, washed and put away the dishes. I was not sure what to do with trash but left trash bag in trash can. When I got home, I found out where it should go to. Sorry about that. Place was perfect for me. "This place is well kept and beautiful. It has several restaurants nearby and in the Apt. building. Communication was excellent and I'd definitely rent again if I'm in the area."

"Fools gold. You may pull up and think, hmmm. But open the pink door and down the stairs, you find a little sanctuary. Comfortable for two and some privacy as well, as the area is sectioned off. Everything you need for a few days and if you need a longer stay, of course. (We love to eat out as well). The bed is comfortable and the towels are soft. You have your basic amenities. We brought our pup, and they even have a pup blanket:) how sweet is that!!! I promise you will enjoy this place....

"This house is really nice and a perfect spot for 2 adult couples. Bedrooms with their own bathrooms on either side of the cabin, a beautiful overlook balcony of the river, and huge windows everywhere to take in the scenery. The owner was really nice and easy to communicate with via text and gave helpful instructions to find the place. It is far off the main road so I suggest traveling in an SUV or a car well off of the ground. My only star taken was for the accuracy of the listing as it says...
