We loved staying in the quaint town right off the main road. Check in was very easy as was parking. The hotel is very quiet an private. Perfect for hanging out outdoors in the evenings. The swings with the view of the castle was the best. The room was very comfortable but a bigger pillow would be great. We would stay here again!

Quaint little spot for a quick rest
Quaint little bed and breakfast - very calm and serene, with the sounds of horses knickering at night. It's close and convenient if visiting the castles of Neuschwanstein - but know that it's a little remote. There's a restaurant on site, but you should call ahead to make a reservation. We arrived at dinner time and they could not accommodate us so we had to drive into town to eat elsewhere. Breakfast was good though.

Good with a couple of flaws
The hotel was good and it is close to the nearby castles and other attractions. I was not a fan of their breakfast methodology or taste. Not having an elevator at the property gave me a workout getting everybody in my party's luggage up and down the stairs. So, if you have limited mobility beware of this. Other than that, it was a very comfortable room.

Waited at the front desk several different times to speak with someone, both morning and evening, and could never find anyone available to talk to. Wifi is terrible. One plus- Location is beautiful.

Traditional hotel a few minutes walk from the lake
Countryside hotel a few minutes walk from the lake. There are farms and stables around the hotel, with a corresponding smell (in case it bothers you). The hotel is in a village. This area is very beautiful. There are walking paths and bike paths near the hotel and next to the lake. You can have breakfast and dinner at the hotel's restaurant or at another restaurant near the camping site a couple minutes walk away. For bigger selection of dining options, you would need a car or a bike to go to Schwangau or to Fussen. You can rent bikes at the campsite nearby. Breakfast was decent and costs €8.50 per person. The blinds in the room could be better. They were not covering the entire window and were not blocking the light completely. A (very) minor annoyance - At check-out the hotel charged us for taxes despite them being included in the pre-paid price of the room. We haven't noticed that until after leaving the hotel.

Nice and simple
Simple and nice hotel near a lake and a neuschwanstein castle. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere. Good spot for relaxing in the middle of the countryside.

We only stayed 1 night here and arrived late, after hours. They left our key for us so we were still able to stay. The room was quite comfortable, clean, and nice. Beautiful view in this area. Breakfast was great! I highly recommend this hotel to anybody who will be staying in the area!

Not worth our stay despite the view
The place is a bit run down, expensive for what you get, no free breakfast and location not so convenient. Also, I was charged 8,60 euros for council taxes thinking it had been paid as it says when I booked the hotel. A lot of mosquitoes in the room, I'd say we killed around 20 the first night and a big spider as well. The good things were a kettle and a fridge.

Quiet, picturesque, excellent food, castle voucher
Loved our stay here in this beautiful area, the quiet hotel is very close to the lake, bike paths and not too far from the castles. A family run hotel, some of which is over 500 years old, kindly purchased vouchers to visit Neuschwanstein for us. Thank you!! We made dinner reservations which was a great meal. The fresh pumpkin soup was amazing, I wish I had asked for the recipe! English was very good, we felt very welcome.

super location, very inviting lovely romantic place, rooms did not disappoint compared to online pictures. they tell you to check out at reception then there is no one there, no bell either. if online booking takes care of payment, why tell guests they "have to check out"?

Area is very bavarian away from downtown noise and people look real german.In Schwangao I thought I was in Tokyo or Beijing.No offense intended.Food was good a nd staff fantastic.

We enjoyed our time at this cute, cosy hotel. The food at the restaurant is good and we enjoyed having coffee and tea on our room's balcony, with fabulous views of the mountains. The wifi was poor, but if you are aware of this and bring something else to do, this is a great place to unplug and unwind.

This is a Gasthaus, not a modern hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the rustic charm is what we were looking for. The dinner was fantastic. Very quiet location and nice walks along a Bavarian stream are only a minute away. We were all pleasantly surprised.

The hotel staff was simply wonderful. They were all very friendly and hard-working. The atmosphere of the hotel was fantastic, having a rustic charm, and the area was quiet, amidst fields with horses and right by the lake.

Great family hotel in the country but really close to the sights and restaurants. Ride a bike or a short ride to the town center, a 5 minute drive to castles or Fussin. Country farm life, relaxing and quiet.

It's a nice country inn close to tourist destinations of Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau, Fussen, etc. We would have liked an option for two twin beds since our older children were with us (a boy and a girl) in a second room, which was also rather stuffy due to the warm weather. Otherwise, it is in a good location and the breakfast was good. The hosts were very welcoming.

Busy place but we had room 10 upstairs and mostly
Owner spoke English and was cordial. This family run hotel might not be quite up to what many Americans might expect or want but it was clean and comfortable for three nights and very convenient to the Telgelbaumbahn and to Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau.

Cute place, inattentive service
The landhotel huberhof was a big disappointment. There was no one at the front desk even though was supposed to be until 8, restaurant closed until... maybe tomorrow, no internet, but worst part was running out of toilet paper, asked at front desk and they never brought us any and no one around. Had to get our own! After that they charged us again for our prepaid room and over charged us the tourist taxes. Would not stay here again or recommend.

But there is always a sign telling our guest where to ring the bell for us or we leave them a note. Country Living
The owner of this hotel is a wonderful lady. Upon arrival, she indicated the internet was non-functional because her computer system was hacked. Also, a new road was being constructed in front of the hotel so a little noise was to be expected. This hotel is clustered between other gasthaus's in the middle of cow and horse farms. So, please expect the poignant smells. :-). Overall, nice place to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Great hotel but need external renovation
The interior was well maintained and decorated although the outlook was a bit old. The room sizes are great. The staff are helpful.

Sehr nettes Personal Überragende Küche am Abend und interessantes Frühstück (Bestell Buffet). Beider sehr gut Im Restaurant wird so ziemlich alles selber gemacht. Das schmeckt man auch. Zu Fuß ist man in ca 1,5h beim Schloss.

The hotel was simply perfect: the room was very comfortable and spacious, the restaurant was a treat and the hosts has been really friendly. You can enjoy a walk around the lake and reach the castles of Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein in a few minutes by car. Absolutely recommended!
