Watzmann Vacation Apartment

Our house is located in a very quiet cul-de-sac and offers a fantastic panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. After operating as a bed-and-breakfast for over 60 years, we completely renovated our rooms in 2024 and converted them into holiday apartments. Our holiday apartments, lovingly and tastefully furnished, feature a balcony with magnificent mountain views. In addition, our guests can enjoy a furnished terrace and a sunbathing lawn. We provide our guests with free parking and Wi-Fi.
The light- and sun-drenched Watzmann holiday apartment features an extra-large east-facing balcony (morning sun) and a south-facing balcony (midday sun). You can also relax on an inviting terrace on the ground floor. In the open living area, a cosy couch and a large flat-screen TV (50 inches) invite you to linger. The kitchen, equipped with underfloor heating, is fully stocked with high-quality appliances. It features a ceramic cooktop, range hood, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, and a microwave with a grill function. It also includes a coffee maker, electric kettle, and toaster. The bedroom is separated from the living area by a solid sliding door and features a king-size bed (180 x 200 cm) and a wardrobe. Light-blocking honeycomb pleated blinds on the windows and balcony door ensure a more restful sleep. The bathroom features underfloor heating, a large shower stall with a rain showerhead, a heated towel rack, a toilet, and a sink. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the living area.
Our house is located in a quiet yet central location between Berchtesgaden (3.5 km) and Königssee (2.5 km). You can reach both Berchtesgaden and Königssee by public bus or on foot along the Königsseer Ache. When the weather is warm, you’ll want to visit the outdoor pool in Schönau am Königssee, which is just a few minutes’ walk away. A bakery, café, butcher shop, and supermarket are all located in the immediate vicinity. Other interesting destinations, such as the Jennerbahn (2.7 km), the salt mine (5.2 km), the Haus der Berge (5.2 km), the Watzmanntherme (4.5 km), and nearby Salzburg (28 km) can be easily reached by bus.
For three generations now, the Hasenknopf family has been running the guesthouse and holiday apartments with great dedication to the well-being of their guests.
