Little to no English spoken. I was overcharged for breakfast that was supposed to be included in the Expedia price. The hotel billed me again. I had no way to argue due to the language barrier. There was nothing written in the description about a surcharge for dogs, that was an extra cost. A service dog at that. Breakfast was typical European, they did have scrambled eggs. In the description, it was stated toiletries provided. The definition was a bottle of sensitive baby wash. This was to be used for shampoo , conditioner, shower gel, and hand soap.

Convenient location and clean room. The staff was very friendly and we had a nice balcony. The shower was clean but very small. We stayed on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. Beds were comfortable.

A pleasant surprise
Fast check in, almost felt being rushed. Room is clean, beds are comfortable, bathroom is clean, breakfast was decent, no one at the checkout so I left the key at the front.

The hotel was well located, big room and great parking. Too bad the service and attention wasn't at all good. We were never greeted in front desk and nobody explained anything to us.

Service was excellent. We got upgraded to an apartment and a suite because our first reservation was overbooked. The hotel was beautiful, the location was perfect, very near a ski resort, and the staff very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel in the future.

Schoenau stay
The hotel was in a nice location, of course you can get there easyly if you are driving. Rooms are small, washrooms good size, breakfast was very good.

Check in was quick and easy. We had a balcony, the other room not. Small room but it worked-full of Bavarian charm. There is a bar, for a drink that is open until 10 PM. We had our laundry done for a small price. Great location for exploring the area. Breakfast was nice, repeatative. There is prosecco, which I haven't seen in Germany. We ate down the road at the German restaurant. I also thought it was strange to tell people not to eat at a certain Italian restaurant, especially when it is next door? Overall, a quaint inn with a great view.

Great Hotel
Excellent hotel and amazing breakfast. Check in was easy and pleasant. Only 2 hold backs was there was no elevator and we were on the 3rd floor, and we didn't see any swiss brown cows (refer to the pictures ;). Beautiful area and close to Konigsee.

It's an excellent, comfortable, clean, nice and wonderful hotel in Schöenau, close to Lake Koenigssee and Berchtesgaden. The owners and staff are very friendly, the breakfast fantastic, the views of the surrounding mountains are amazing, it's close to restaurants and shops. The best option in town definitely.

Reasonable cost, breakfast included, good parking. A bit far out, but with a car quite central to hiking, the lake and Berchtesgade. Bed too short for me(1.80m).

We enjoyed our stay
I'm used to staying at Hilton's for business. This is an older hotel that has been kept up. My rating my be a little higher than others but they did provide a clean comfortable room with a great continental breakfast for our stay. The rooms are not big and the bathrooms are even smaller, but it worked for us. The towels are soft and we got a good night's sleep. The staff did not speak much English There is a pizza restaurant right next door and a German restaurant 100m down the road which had great food at reasonable prices. The locals ate there and we did too. .

Chef was on vacation when we checked in. The gal doing the registration was yawning and acting very bored with us. However, the young lady working the evening shift was fantastic. From playing music for our group to keeping the bar open for us.

Horrible! The worst! Avoid at all costs!
Honestly one of the worst places I've stayed. I would say there is a safety issue as the entire downstairs is locked without a person onsite to help you during the night. There is no emergency escape plan in the rooms nor smoke detectors. There was one fire extinguisher on our floor in the corner behind a door and next to a vacuum. When we arrived after dinner (before 10 p.m.) there was no one on site to give us our room key. We had to wait 20+ minutes and multiple phone calls. Additionally when we asked for our "guest discount card" for area discounts were were told that the manager had instructed the staff to not give the cards (so he collects the money). The place is old and needs updating/painting. We paid an outrageous rate because room availability was scarce and it was a spontaneous trip to explore Konigssee. I have lived in Europe for 5 years and my friend for 20+ and this a horrible place to stay. Pillows were terrible and lumpy. The floor scratched up and paint worn. I can say it appeared clean. We left before breakfast as we figured it would match the rest of our experience. Avoid at all costs - all of the hotels in the area run by this group. Bad. And I've never left a review like this ever!

Quaint old hotel
Scenery is breath-taking!!! Impromptu stop and it was a good one. Bathroom is quite small but it did it’s job. Would definitely stay there again!

Nice Small Hotel near Attraction
The hotel is up a small slope close to the famous lake of Koenigssee with just 7 minutes of driving. The surroundings are quiet with clear night sky full of stars. The restaurant for breakfast is just big enough to accommodate those guests in the morning. There are medieval decorations around the hotel and inside the rooms. Nice stay at reasonable cost 95 euros per night including tax.

Stoll's Sporthotel - terrible
The good thing about the hotel was it's quite close to Berchtesgaden- eagles nest ... rest just got terrible . It promised wifi ..but wifi would not reach room . We along wth another few people had to sit in lobby area to access wifi full time. Beds were Low and run down mattresses . Breakfast only basic served from 8 am to 9:30 am and except for 1 person no one knew much of English . Our room TV too did not work...overall terrible I'd say

Wonderful Hotel
Stoll's SportHotel was a perfect.... If you want to stay in the country and enjoy slow pace activities this is it! Hotel is simply beautiful. We stayed on the 3rd floor, room 17, and at night we sat on the outside terrace and watched the sunset on the mountains. Take your binocculars and you can see Eagles Nest. Wonderful breakfast and down the street are a bakery and pastry.

Hotel facilities are old, but clean
Feel like very old house and rooms, but are maintained certainly well. Staffs are nice and welcome. In-room wifi was weak, you have to catch up the internet at lobby. Not a good location to go to famous sites but has plenty of parking spots and is very quiet.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the hotel. We booked a family room for 4 people and upon arrival the hotel receptionist offered to give us two rooms for the same total price booked. The hotel has a fantastic view of the Alps Mts, skiing slopes and other attractions are roughly 15-20 mins car ride away. Overall wonderful stay!!

Good value place to stay
Bathroom was newly renovated but the beds weren't that comfortable. I think foam mattress, we were so tired it didn't really matter. There is no bar in this hotel. We went down to spend some time and money in the bar but could only see one staff member that was too busy. We hung around for a while but no body appeared. The bar didn't seem to be open or have any alcohol on the shelves. Breakfast was ok with a range of food available.Room was clean and warm too. It is easy to find and a short drive to the shops and main town centre. Just a short walk is a cafe. We wanted to leave early the next morning but were parked in for two hours. Not the hotels fault but parking is limited.

Very cozy Bed and Breakfast-like hotel
We had a great stay here. The room was super cozy and traditional. The Hotel reminded us about a traditional B&B because of its simple but traditionally well maintained conditions. The breakfast is well balanced and gave us a good start in the day. The location is great. It's half way between the Königsee and the town of Berchtesgaden. It's quiet and beautiful. Surrounded by snow covered mountains...great view when you wake up! We enjoyed our stay and will be back!
