A beautifully preserved historic guesthouse, set in the picturesque center of Schmallenberg. The rooms are individually and tastefully appointed to complement the character of the property. While parking may be a bit challenging, it is ultimately manageable.

Die Zimmer sind auf keinem modernen Stand, alles wirkt irgendwie alt und könnte eine Auffrischung gebrauchen. Überall im Zimmer hängen Elektro- und TV-Kabel herum bzw. sind lieblos verlegt und es wirkt einfach ungemütlich.
Im gebuchten Vierbettzimmer (2 Doppelbetten) war nur ein Bett bezogen. Aus welchen Gründen war nicht herauszubekommen, es empfand aber auch niemand als fehlerhaft. 2 Personen brauchen halt nur ein Bett, fertig. Weswegen wir ein Zimmer mit 2 Doppelbetten gebucht haben, hat niemand hinterfragt. Das empfanden wir als absolut grenzwertig und übergriffig.
Die Betten sind ausgestattet mit riesige Kopfkissen, zu denen es keinerlei Alternative gibt. Die Dusche war nur mit Handbrause ohne Halterung zu nutzen, da die vorhandene Duschstange defekt war und ohnehin für den viel zu großen Duschkopf unpassend.
Krass ... keine Herzlichkeit, keine Wertschätzung, ein ranziges Zimmer mit nur einem Bett, ein kaputte Dusche und das alles in Schmallenberg für über 125 EUR. Da gibt es viel bessere und schönere Unterkünfte vor Ort. Besser dort nachschauen!
Wichtig zu wissen: Die Rezeption ist keineswegs von 8 bis 21 Uhr besetzt. Vielmehr ist es regelmäßig der Fall, dass bei Ankunft eine Telefonnummer anzurufen ist, bei der sich aber ewig niemand meldet. Falls sich dann doch jemand meldet, wird eine Zimmernummer genannt und den Ort des Schlüsselkastens, in dem sich sämtliche Schlüssel für alle Zimmer befinden. Ein herzliches Willkommen darf man allerdings nicht erwarten.
Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber, das Personal sehr höflich und hilfsbereit und der Preis ist absolut ok.
Leider ist es sehr laut und an Schlaf nicht wirklich zu denken. In der Außengastronomie sitzen die Gäste bis 1 Uhr nachts und grölen, als wären sie allein auf der Welt. Da müsste der Wirt einschreiten und klare Regeln aufstellen. Scheint es aber nicht zu geben.

Tolles Hotel, sehr sehr freundliches Personal!!! Von der Theke über Service hin zur Frühschicht bis zum Zimmermädchen! Alle freundlich, alle nett! leckeres Essen. fußläufig vieles sehr gut erreichbar. Das einzigste Manko ist der nicht vorhandene Parkplatz.
