This charming holiday home is located on a small side street surrounded by nature and is the perfect base for nature lovers, hikers, and anyone who just wants to take a deep breath. Whether it’s long hikes or pure relaxation in the private outdoor sauna, by the cosy fireplace, or on the balcony with its lounge terrace and barbecue—here you’ll find your own personal time-out.

The Accommodation: Highlights at a Glance

Complete Privacy: The house, garden, and property are completely hidden from view by the (only two) neighbouring houses on the small side street. From the breakfast table, you can admire the neighbors’ deer in their enclosure.

Pure nature: The Eifel National Park begins right at your doorstep, offering numerous marked hiking trails through the impressive Eifel landscape.

Wellness factor: Relax in your own private outdoor sauna after a long day in the fresh air.

Cosy evenings: When it gets cooler outside, the fireplace in the living room provides cosy warmth and a truly authentic chalet atmosphere.

About the House

Our house is lovingly and cosily decorated, yet modern at the same time. It offers everything you need for an unforgettable stay.

It has been thoroughly renovated both inside and out, completely refurnished, and has only been available for rent since the summer of 2026.

With a floor area of 65 m², the house is ideally suited for 2–3 adults or 2 adults and one child. The house is not equipped for young children (toddlers/preschoolers) and is less suitable for them (consider, for example, the freestanding wood-burning stove in the living room).


Parking & Charging: There is parking for two cars directly on the property. You’ll also find a wallbox here for conveniently charging your electric car.

Bicycles: Bicycles can be safely stored in the lockable garage.

Kitchen & Dining: A fully equipped kitchen with an oven, microwave, air fryer, Nespresso machine, and milk frother—along with the large gas grill on the balcony—leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to cooking.

Sleeping: In the bedroom, a spacious double bed (1.80 m) awaits you for restful nights in harmony with nature. A second, smaller room is equipped with a high-quality sofa bed (1.60 m).

Home Office & Streaming: Thanks to the modern fiber-optic connection, you can enjoy high-speed internet during your stay.


An idyllic setting with excellent connectivity

Enjoy your timeout in nature—without sacrificing comfort or accessibility! The charming towns of Schleiden and Gemünd are just a five-minute drive away. There you’ll find cosy pedestrian zones with great shops, a good selection of restaurants, and well-stocked supermarkets. For fresh breakfast pastries, the nearest bakery with a café is just one kilometre away (or a five-minute drive for even more cafés).

Wellness for People and Dogs

At Chalet Waldzeit, you’ll enjoy comfort in perfect harmony with your four-legged friend. While you relax, your dog can romp to its heart’s content in the fenced-in garden. The property is enclosed by a 1.20-meter-high wooden picket fence. The balcony is fully fall-proof, so you can both safely enjoy the view together. A dog bed (100 x 70 cm) is also waiting for you!

Guest Access

The house, the garden, the parking area, and the entire outdoor grounds are all yours. The property is tucked away at the end of a quiet side street and offers complete privacy from the only two neighbouring houses.

Transparency for Your Perfect Stay

We want your holiday at Chalet Waldzeit to be exactly as you imagined it. To help you plan your stay, here are a few more important details:

Location & Noise: The chalet is located about 200 metres from a provincial road. Because there is a dense row of trees in between, the road is barely visible (see also the photos). There is moderate traffic, but the road is also used by motorcyclists (especially on sunny weekends). The louder motorcycles can be heard on the balcony and in the garden.

Dog-Friendliness & Hygiene: We love dogs and explicitly welcome four-legged friends. Despite our professional and very thorough cleaning, we can never 100% rule out the possibility that a “stubborn” strand of dog hair might have been left behind somewhere. If you have a severe allergy or are very sensitive to this, our chalet is unfortunately not the ideal choice for you.

Encounters with Animals: Unspoiled nature also means proximity to animals. Right next to our property, our neighbour has a wildlife enclosure with roe deer, and there are also cats roaming freely in the area. If your dog has a strong hunting instinct or reacts strongly to the sight of cats or wildlife, please take this into account when planning your stay.

Energy & Sustainability: We believe it’s important to use resources responsibly. The costs for normal heating (infrared panels) and regular sauna use are, of course, included in the rental price. We charge separately for high consumption (particularly from charging electric cars via the wallbox) at €0.30/kWh.

A note about the location: Our chalet is surrounded by unspoiled nature. Please note that while there are, of course, no mice inside the house itself, due to its location in the forest, you may occasionally hear some rustling in the attic or in the exterior walls at night during the winter months.
