5 min to Warren Dunes! Private Wooded Retreat w/ Sunroom, Firepit & Fireplace

  • Escape to a private 2-bedroom + sunroom cottage tucked in an acre of Michigan woods — just 1.3 miles from Lake Michigan's sandy beach at Warren Dunes State Park.

    Outdoor spaces include a front porch and two decks on the side and back of the house. Listen to the birds and frogs while enjoying your morning coffee on the side deck. In the evenings, enjoy grilling off the back deck and gathering around the fire pit to make s'mores while stargazing.

    Inside you’ll find an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, skylights, and abundant windows to enjoy the surrounding views from indoors. The cottage is lovingly decorated with art created by local artists and nearby antique store finds. After a day at the beach, enjoy some downtime on the front room sectional couch with TV or cozy up by the gas fireplace in the great room.

    While there are many wonderful local restaurant options, the well-stocked kitchen will make you feel right at home if you prefer to cook.

    There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. Additionally, the 3-season den/sunroom offers a separate space to relax and enjoy the views, or can be used as a dedicated workspace or a third bedroom, as the couch folds down completely to sleep 2 adults. The bathroom has both a shower and tub. A Pack 'n Play is available. Full-size washer and dryer are in the home for you to use.

Allison was an outstanding host from start to finish. Before we arrived during a heat wave, she proactively reached out to get our arrival time and adjusted the A/C to ensure we were comfortable. We were welcomed with a bottle of local wine, and the house was exactly as described—clean, well-organized, and stocked with helpful instructions throughout.When a severe storm caused a temporary power outage, Allison kept us informed and checked in on us. Checkout was easy, and she even helped us recover a cherished blanket we accidentally left behind!The home is in a great location near the Warren Dunes, shops, and restaurants. Allison's thoughtful communication and attention to detail made our stay exceptional. We would highly recommend this property and would happily stay again!
