"We had a fantastic time at Mavi Surf Hotel. We stayed there for four day and enjoyed it a lot. Max is a fantastic and lovely host who always took good care of us. Also the breakfast was really good."

"We reserved a room at this location, however we were switched to ZenZaru same ownership. At KiKaru the grounds were not maintained and the pool was unusable/not clean. When we arrived at ZenZaru the location was very inconvenient. You had to go down approximately 100 steps to get to the rooms. There is no reception area, no rest area/lounge. The room was recently finished but not complete. The bathroom/shower was large and comfortable, however the extreme hot water was not adjustable and poor...

"The price is decent. Room was clean. The place isn’t fully staffed after breakfast, but people there were very friendly. Breakfast was simple but good. Two main issues are that you have to bring luggage down and up a steep path with over 100 steps. My bigger concern was the chain link fence covered in fabric that obstructs any garden view from the balcony. As a point of interest the other side of the fence has some extremely high end accommodations"

"I had a great stay at Ginger Room. The room was clean, with storage and some hangning space. Having access to a mini fridge was verry useful. There is a nice view of the ocean from the terrace, great sunset colours! I saw a variety of birds and animals. I echo the comments on the need for a 4X4 vehicle to reach the property. Lori was very attentive and responsive to any needs or questions, accommodating and just overall considerate. "

"Great location and they provide a shuttle to Espadilla (public) beach and Manuel Antonio National Park. Beachside bar cocktails are expensive, but they take making cocktails seriously. Staff are helpful. Only unclassy move is that at the breakfast buffet which is included in your stay, they bring you a check to sign for $0 hoping that you will add a tip, which is silly since the only table service provided is pouring you water. Based off of this we decided not to eat any meals at the restaurant, but there are lots of good options within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. We had an ocean garden room which was spacious with a beautiful view and balcony. The property is gorgeous and you cannot beat the location."
"Came to Costa Rica for my anniversary trip.
The Hotel Gaia was a pleasant experience. Overall the staff was wonderful! Never waited for answers. They were always right there with answers. I've been in the hospitality business for 31 years so I appreciate EXCELLENT service, and that it was.
The room was very nice also. The complimentary breakfast made waking up early easy.
It was just a short drive away from plenty of restaurants and shopping. The hotel offered free shuttle to the nearby beach and national park which we took full advantage of.
Overall, I have to say the hotel experience was wonderful!"
"Beautiful property and accommodating, friendly staff. The view from both sides is stunning, the wildlife is abundant, and it's a great middle point in Quepos, 10-15 minutes from everything including Manuel Antonio. Air conditioning came in handy during hot and humid days, and while the ziplines were closed for maintenance, the hanging bridges were challenging and fun. Highly recommend."
"Hotel Costa Verde did not meet our expectations; it was the most expensive place we stayed in Costa Rica and we liked it the least. The biggest problem is the hotel room walls are paper thin so we could clearly hear normal volume conversations taking place in the next room as well as lots of noise from the baby and toddler, waking us up multiple times during the night and noisy throughout the day as well. You can hear doors opening and closing very loudly in the next room, too. The hotel does not provide basic coffee condiments in the room or in the lobby; I requested a simple dry packet of creamer, or a bit of milk, or anything for my coffee (coffee that I brought myself), and was told it's not provided. This is not what I expect from a 4-star hotel. The swimming pool (we went to Pool A twice) has a nice ocean view but otherwise it is a basic small square pool with discolored, old chairs and no ambiance at all. No music, no service, no umbrellas, no towels. Finally, be aware that the overall property consists of many buildings that are spread out from each other; our building in "Area D" had zero amenities; we had to either drive our rental car or request a shuttle ride if we wanted to go to the pool, go to the restaurants on the property, or get to Area E from which you can walk a steep path to the beach. The positive things about the hotel were a refrigerator and 2-burner cooktop in the room, hot water in the shower, and a nice balcony. I wouldn't stay here again."
"Si Como No is a beautiful property with helpful staff. I’d highly recommend. Hilaria and Aaron at the front desk were so kind and welcoming. We felt at home. "
"Room was clean everyday, breakfast was my favorite part. The only complaints is that the lap pool was over bleached so much that my eye were burning. It felt like I had got pepper sprayed. I had blurring vision for half the day. Really bad. Jacuzzi was working. We asked them to prepare it for us and they did but forgot to mention there. I got water. And lastly, you have to call them to open the garage door in the back. Sometimes they take a long time to answer their phone. I had to call 5 times. Very inconvenient. "
"Large room...really an apartment. Beautiful view towards the beach. Can hear the surf at night. Friendly helpful staff. If you are expecting the Four Seasons...this is not the place for you. But a great location...quiet...miles of empty beach. Would happily stay here again. "
"Property was really nice pool had enough of sun and shade. Staff was wonderful. Breakfast in the morning was good overall it was a fantastic stay....."
