Transportation options are also very convenient. Taxis and ride-share services are readily available, and many visitors choose to rent golf carts, scooters, bicycles, or tuk-tuks to explore the town. Car rentals are also available for guests who want to explore nearby beaches and national parks.

For travel throughout Costa Rica, the Interbus shuttle service picks up near the Java coffee shop in town and provides transportation to many destinations across the country, including routes toward Nicaragua. The Pulmitan bus service also operates from downtown Playas del Coco and connects to many destinations throughout Costa Rica.
